Lose control of your car because you are speeding on a back road, there is no predicting where it will go and that may well be across the oncoming lane (which when I span off the road once I was damn fucking lucky was empty). When you speed, you do not only put your life at risk, you put at risk the lives of other road users too. Not only that, but the prior discussion about whether jumping infront of a friends car is dumb or not. If you are hit, yeah, you claim to have no regrets, but do you want to pit *them* through the mental trauma of having hit a person? When you piss around with roads, it is not you that is at risk, its everyone.
Re: General discussion chat My town has a sign saying there's a speed camera on a road. I'm 99% sure that there aren't actually any speed cameras. When people are speeding a lot in a particular spot they just put up a radar that tells you how fast you're going and that you need to slow down. We had one on our road once, at the bottom of a steep hill. My brother went to the hospital after trying to break the record on his bike. In other news, I finally did it. Re: General discussion chat There's a time and a place to be stupid. There's also a fine line between a little bit of fun and wreckless. Pushing a car to it's limits on an unfamiliar back road with plenty of other cars around its wreckless. Going a *little* fast on a familiar back road with no other cars around isn't wreckless. Going 15 over on the interstate and weaving in and out of traffic is wreckless. Going ~5 over in the left lane on the interstae, only when traffic permits, isn't wreckless. We might be misunderstanding each other. And the car hitting thing: The only way they would have hit me is if they had done so on purpose. I took a little bit of time to make sure they wouldn't hit me when I jumped out. They were both going below 15mph. Not fast at all.

Re: General discussion chat I'm not gonna be drifting around blind corners on curvy back roads. I'll pretty much be driving like everyone else around here. People often don't realize how much thought goes into stupid stuff that I do. There's a reason I rarely get hurt.

Re: General discussion chat I found a crown vic on craigslist with a 5 speed manual swapped into it. http://tricities.craigslist.org/cto/4632424112.html It's cool, but I'd rather buy one with an auto, then swap a manual into it when the transmission inevitably goes out. I'd probably keep the auto and rebuild it. Idk why but I would. Or maybe I'd rebuild it then sell it.
Re: General discussion chat Well, it ended up taking about 4 hours to convert it. Meaning I got to bed at 10:45 last night (didn't fall asleep until 11:15-11:30), and had to wake up at 6:00 this morning. I'm going to be derping quite a bit at school due to sleep deprivation.
