It's the same design in the same way that an Eindecker has the same design as an RV-12 or a Beaufighter has the same design as a Beechcraft Bonanza. Completely different aircraft except for their basic configuration (low-wing, single engine monoplane and low-wing, twin engine monoplane).

    downloadable beta?
i want one so badly, that i'll make one my own if not... just after i work a couple of weeks on my car.

Sorry, no public beta yet, well, there's not even a private one :p. I don't want to release a beta this soon, when there's still too much work to do on the JBeam, as-well as in many other aspects.
I really encourage you to make your own airplane mod for BamNG if you want to, but, maybe, a at least slightly different model so we all get more variation.

Hey CarlosAir do crasheable wings like the cessna and retractable landing gear :3

well, if it has a jbeam, chances are there will be super fantastic crasheable wings.

Of course it would be different, making the same plane is useless. I would like to build a F22 or a biplane (i want the top wing to be removable in case of heavy crash)

Yeah, wings already detach on certain crashes, but the landing gear is fixed and will definitely not be retractable.

Just two questions, you don't have to answer in case you want to keep them secret: how did you balance the beams for the gravity center? hit and miss?. And is it important to have the real wing shape to fly correctly?

    Re: Aerobatic Aircraft (Extra 300SC)

Yeah, pretty much. I played with the weight of the nodes through some of the sections of the aircraft, but, like you said, it was hit and miss. I don't know if the center of gravity is realistically placed, it is just where I feel it flies better.

And about the wing shape, I don't know if you are familiar with JBeam, but the 3d mesh, (what you are seeing in-game) does't have anything to do with how it will behave. In fact, you can have a potato shaped vehicle without wings and make it fly like a stunt plane. What really defines if it will fly and how it will do it is the Jbeam and is not generally visible unless you want it to.
So, in case you are indeed familiar with JBeam, no, you don't need to do an extremely complex JBeam to replicate the airfoil. In fact, it is a simple plane (I mean a simple flat surface) with a quite high drag coeficient, and that usually does the magic, with some tweaking in some other places.

I just remembered that if you go into the decal editor, you can change the size of the particles, BUT, it changes the size for all vehicles and such, so it's just up to user preference I guess. If they want tire smoke to be huge, or if they want to change the smoke size each time they use the plane, or if they just leave is as it is.

Progress on the cockpit! I've worked on some details.
And 3 cockpit instruments already work!
    -Airspeed indicator
    -Altimeter
    -Accelerometer (G-Force meter)

They are completely functional and accurate. Well, except the last one :D, the accelerometer needs to be worked on, I'm not sure if the readings are correct. But the other two work perfectly. When I started the project, I thought I wouldn't be able to do this, I had in mind that the cockpit would not be functional at all. But this thought has changed by now. That said, I'm not sure many more gauges will be functional apart from these. If that was the case, I would be very happy anyways.

Proper texturing to come, as well as more elements/details in the cockpit.

PD: I think this yellow is now my favourite colour for the aircraft :p.

Detachable wings are awesome. And yes, the extra 300 doesn't have retractable landing gear.

Otherwise, I wasn't too inerested in planes in drive shortly after the first ones, but I'm excited for this one! :) It's looking awesome, with the smoke and working instruments, especially the accelerometer! (When it works properly.)

You can do this plane with jet engine version?
With same wings but in the front
Only a nose and back like the x18 an jet engine :)

    Re: Aerobatic Aircraft (Extra 300SC)

    Some news!

So, the accelerometer now works as expected, (yay!). Its values were wrong due to the reference nodes not being correctly configured and not being perfectly aligned. Now I understand the importance of correctly setting up the ref. nodes :p.

Aaand there is now a nice magnetic compass on the right hand side of the cockpit. It works perfectly. Actually it is too perfect :D, as it gives precise values at any time, while a real magnetic compass on an airplane doesn't.

I'm really happy with how the cockpit is looking so far, and I've really put a lot of effort in making the gauges work.
Apart from that, I've also worked on some other details in the cockpit and I've been texturing it.

Shitty video incoming :D, you can really appreciate the nice gauges showing the real values and working as their best :p, though I've now realized the cockpit is in the shadow for most of the part of the video.

Ignore the wobbliness of the canopy, as-well as other glitchy things you may have noticed :p

I was kinda bored and added some music to the video haha :D.
