Hasn't been improved at all, BeamNG still uses the same basic mesh interpolation algorithm as it has used since the start, maybe it's about time they used a more advanced one now
Makes no sense. Automation cars are like rectangular food cases of aluminum foil compared to BeamNG cars. At least that's the feel they give me.
I don't believe they would give us the expectation of a new BeamNG vehicle, with the excerpt, "BeamNG - Work In Progress -" to reveal it's not. Who knows But here's some stuff that makes me think it is a Beam vehicle, and a firetruck. 1. A siren or PA speaker and beacons that look just like BeamNG stock beacons. (Automation doesn't have non-mod emergency lights [not yet anyhow]) 2. Ladder(s) 3. Roll up gates for firefighting tools
Maybe when they say "firetruck" they're talking about trucks with integrated water systems, while this one clearly only carries a ladder, apart from the hoses that would be in the back.
That would match with a statement that's been quoted where the Devs said they wouldn't add a "firetruck" due to water physics being expected. Many smaller firetrucks require a hydrant and only have a pump, not a tank. This could be a kind of brush truck for example, with no tank. Would work great in the "hot map" we are expecting. Hope it's Australia. I want big spiders.
Yeah, like I said earlier, I think it’s a brush truck, which would imply Australia, and maybe improved fire?
I wonder if all the new vehicles will come out with the new map. Seems to make sense as they all have to do with dirt and rocks. Not to mention the rock update. In any order they come out though, they will complement each other. Hopefully we get dirt sometime near as well. I'm interested in how scratches will work, in order to prevent car beams from rubbing on other parts, even in small ways, causing magic scratches to appear.
