Hi everyone, this is a continuation of my previous post. I am making gauges for the Covet. I have found how to change the needle color of the gauges, I am making some pairs of metric and imperial gauges, one with yellow needles, one with orange needles, and one with red needles (I will experiment with new actual designs later). However, there is one big issue that is halting all progress, and it is getting very annoying. I have provided pictures down below of the normal BeamNG gauges, and mine. What I do is I take the main.materials file from the covet, the GIMP image, and the interior file. I edit them all and manage to get what I was aiming for in game. All good there. But it is as if the gauges become all messed up when they are changed. All I did was change the needle color, and now the whole cluster looks rough, the color is a lot lighter, and there is a weird texture that spans the whole cluster. For the record, I did not make a new gauge in Blender. It shows up in game without doing that. I would appreciate any help because I am honestly very lost. I didn't even bother making a glow map yet, not until this problem is fixed. Any ideas?
I've had a similar issue before, for whatever reason GIMP doesn't like some color combinations and messes everything up, you have to use a different software. But make sure you are saving as png and not dds then because the dds converters in other softwares such as Photoshop can also mess up the colors.
I will try that right now, thank you --- Post updated --- You really know this game inside out huh. It worked perfectly lol, thank you.
