on part 3 of this how do you make a new level with out it crashing I also have no template map in beam for some reason
Still working on fixing the Watkins Glen track. Update, new beta version (v7) available now.All walls and fences should not be sticky. Fixed the textures on the pitboxes, start finish straight, crowds. You need to remove the previous version and possible clear your cache.
the track has certain bumps in turn 2, 7 and 12 that just throws the car off, is that supposed to be happening? if im on the gas through these "bumps" the car just gets turned. Maybe its just me, but if anybody else has this problem it would be nice to shout out. I am using the latest posted version of the track aswell reference photo for the turns edit: if i have missed someone already saying or talking about this i apologise
I posted my port of texas at https://www.beamng.com/threads/simitars-ac-track-conversions.89133/page-6 I should not have any sticky walls, but lacks ai, quickraces and things like that, but anyone is free to add those things.
I lose 300 fps when I spin out and lay skid marks. Even with all settings on lowest. Doesn't happen to default maps. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor, 4000 Mhz 32 GB ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
He somewhat feel out of the modding community. I've been planning to do remasters for a little bit but, I've been meaning to ask him if I can.
i wish someone would do watkins glen again, without the randoms bumps in the esses and all around the track that makes it impossible to drive on
I don't have those issues with the map, might just be an issue on your end just not sure what it would be --- Post updated --- Go into the world editor for the map (F11), at the top of the screem click "window" and then "datablock editor". You'll see a pop-up list come up, go down to "DecalData", and then click on "tireTrackDecal". After that, go back to "window" and click on "inspector". You'll have a second list pop-up after you click "inspector". On the "inspector" list, go to decal size, and turn it from 0.4 down to 0. This should fix 100% of the lag you experience while sliding/spinning and this works on all maps. Hope this helps! --- Post updated --- Any chance you're playing on an old build of the map? That problem was fixed in the most recent upload of it, the file should be named Watkins_Glen_B9. I used the map for a race for my youtube series, and there were zero jumps in the esses or anywhere, but I remember an older build of it did have them.
maybe something went wrong but i have downloaded the b9 version multiple times and it still has those annoying bumps in the esses and outer loop etc
