    Partly ignorance/laziness on my part (D15 was the first vehicle that I modeled properly). Also, you could say the RWD hubs are 5-bolt and the 4WD hubs are 6-bolt. Some real trucks are like that.

    When the extended cab D-15 (D-25?) is eventually implemented, will it have suicide doors or will it have the back just be part of the cab?

    I have update 3.6.3. Underneath the D15 4WD off-road or others, the back half of the leaf-springs is bent in a zigzag shape (before crashing), normally upside down arch shape. Also This second issue is exclusive to the

    4WD D15, it is also underneath. It is that the V8 exhaust is in the way of the prop-shaft going from the transfer-box the the front. I would like to know if this is an issue with my version of the update or not.

    Unfortunately there's not much I can do about the leaf springs without rebuilding the rear suspension; the flexbodies don't like being distorted like that. I can't replicate the exhaust bug - here it clears everything (although it is very close to some parts).

    I understand that the Gavril brand is fictional but isn't a 265 hp 4.5L 90° V8 a little...um...high tech for a pickup truck? I'm just going from what I know off the top of my head about engines and about 15 mins of research, but to get that kind of output you'd be looking at sequential fuel injection, dual overhead cams, and a fairly advanced ignition system. All of which were not particularly popular in the mid-90's light duty truck segment.

    In fact the closest thing I could find to Gavril's 4.5L real life counterpart was the LD8 version of the Cadillac Northstar V8 which I would think isn't ideal for trucks but would be perfect in the Grand Marshal. Just for sake of comparison, at that time (1994-1996), Chrysler, Ford, and GM trucks were all using engines that dated back to the 1960's; GM had the Gen 1 5.7, Ford with the 5.0 and 5.8 Windsor, and Dodge with the LA-based 5.2 and 5.9 Magnum engines. I could be wrong, but to stay competitive I would think that Gavril would use their (get ready for the nostalgia) 331 cui (5.4L) V8 in the D and H series vehicles.

    Just a brief comment on the truck, I don't expect to see any official updates done regarding it. And forgive me if I have broken some unspoken forum law forbidding the continuity of the RoR universe to the BeamNG universe.;) If so, I'll see myself out.

    It's more laziness than anything on my part - it does share the 4.5L V8 with the Grand Marshal. Keeps it simple to reuse the mesh, torque curve, upgrade parts, etc. I could make a "new" more crude V8 for it, but it'd be pretty pointless and that time would be better spent on new vehicles.

    Also, it's 230 hp, not 250... not too ridiculous for something that could conceivably be a 1994 model year vehicle. The base engine is more... antiquated, like what you'd expect - a big, torquey, low power I6.

    Maybe we can say Gavril was a little more advanced than the big 3 in the early 90s ;)

    I wouldn't call it laziness, maybe a tendency to not over complicate things that 99% of your customers probably couldn't care less about. Out of curiosity, where did you get 230 hp from? In the torque curve application I was getting around 264 hp @ 5300 RPM and then a drop from 5500 to 5700 then a rise up to around 265 hp @6000 RPM.

    Yeah, like I said. This is all fictional, I don't expect you to be like,"Time to update the engines because some loser in his dorm living off Mt. Dew says we have to." Although I'll just have to take your word on that 'advanced' part next time I look at the carburetor on top of the inline six :V

    Havent confirmed the figures myself, but sure you dont have any tuning packages applied in the parts selector? There are 2 for the v8.

    Scratch that, just tried myself, in game debug thingy is indeed showing a peak of 265hp without tuning packages, 275 with stage one and around 445 with stage 2.

    I don't think the torque curve app accounts for friction though. So overall it's probably ~230hp.

    Oh its definitely measured at crank rather than wheel, but all manufacturer figures are too so the 230hp already quoted as more typical of the era would also likely be at crank.

    I have a '97 Silverado with a 5.7. It's a stock 350 with about 330 to the wheel. Doing some math a 4.5 V8 would have roughly 210-238 BHP, with about 230-245 on torque if it was a cross plane V8

    Um, I highly doubt that since the net output for a 1997 Silverado 5.7L SFi was 255 hp @ 4600 RPM. The only GM 5.7L that was making more than 310 hp was the Corvette at 345 and that's because they switched from the LT1 to the LS1 and that was at the flywheel. To get 330 hp at the axle from an automatic trans you'd be looking at around 405 flywheel hp (assuming an 18% power and torque loss to the torque converter and other friction in the powertrain) which wouldn't be seen in a GM 5.7L until the LS6 in 2002.

    I said it was stock, but it's a 350 HO turn key I got special ordered.
