Watch out for the extreme gear spacing values, if they get below a certain point, say 0.25, it starts making gears that will cause BeamNG to blow tires off.
i suppose it does not work with the experimental . or it still needs manual editing of the engine files :/
Yes, you are correct. It will not work out of the box. However you can make it work again by extracting the content of the "content\vehicles" folder to the BeamNG main folder. This will extract all vehicles back to it's old location. BeamNG still seems to check that path for jbeam files because if there is a folder with a vehicle tuning file inside, you can load it in game. By the way, please leave a short feedback about EngineConverter's current build. A short "Everything works" would be nice. Or if it's not working for you leave a short description of your problem.
nah i got rid of the experimental , not worth the trouble , will be testing with the stable build again - - - Updated - - - OK so tried it in the stable build and worked like a charm! tried my 2.5 liter inline 4 340hp and 252lb/ft torqe with 8 geared transmission car from automation on the Civetta Bolide with transmission n all . it works like a fkn charm after i remove the cars default transmission from the parts list . this is awesome
Maybe not installed correctly? Pirated version? Deleted the folder? I don't know... Normally it can be found in "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Automation". But that can vary due to different Operation Systems.
1. I don't support the experimental version. Because I don't know if changes are final! 2. I think you don't understand the concept of EngineConverter. You need Automation Game (http://automationgame.com/) and BeamNG for the EngineConverter to make any sense. If you don't have the Automation folder in your Documents, I suppose you don't have Automation installed. You should try to read and understand the first posting in this topic.
Anyone help me out here? I can't find this "engines" automation thing... what even is it? I've never heard of it. All you guys seem to have worked it out.
Hi im using windows 8.1 automation b1418 and no experimental version of beam ng drive but whenever I go to install the program it tells me I need Microsoft .net framework 4.0 full I have installed and uninstalled windows .net framework versions 4.0-4.51 5times and always get the same message.
Sorry for the delay but I was busy with my RL. So I've tested it in Windows 8.1 without any errors or problems. Everything is running. Can you post a Screenshot of your installed programs? I only need the part with .Net.
The only problem I'm having is i can't get other engines into cars without the engine tuning section on the parts selector. An example would be the Mitsubishi, it has no tuning option under the engine.
I described this behaviour somewhere in this Thread. If there is no tuning available for the car you need to create it manually in the jbeam file. Take a look at the hatch Engine jbeam for an example.
Since it appears 90%+ are using experimental you may want something like this on the first page, first sentence: THIS APPLICATION DOES NOT SUPPORT EXPERIMENTAL!!!!
It's written in the last line right above the Downloadlink. But I added it to the first line also. Thanks
