The most logical guess would be around December 15th. But for this to happen, we need to acknowledge that not all the teased content is gonna be part of the Update. Personally, I think these are certain for the 0.27: The Piccobuggy (it was already halfway done when the 0.26 dropped) The remastered Rocks & Boulders The new Trophy Truck (hopefully with a modern production Pick-Up Truck as its base) The new Map (it's been 4 years since we got the newest map and it took the Dev Team around 2 years to finish Italy and include it in the 0.15 Update, so I believe it's certain) The new sounds for the Bastion, the new Pick-Up/Trophy Truck and the T-Series The remastered modern ETKs (it's been 4 and a half months since the widebody parts for the K-Series got teased). The old European Heavy-Duty Truck and the Beaver-like vehicle need their time.
I think the week of December 5th-11th is more likely, its only been 2 and a half months since the last update, another 2 weeks would 'round it out' to 3 months (which is the scheduled time interval of every update iirc). Although you could be completely correct, we will just have to wait and see!
I know it will probably come out mid december, but I want it to release tomorrow therefore it releases tomorrow
Even though the new van may not be a "Firetruck", it's emergencyvehicle-ness is nice for responding to accidents, and it still has all the roll-up doors to hold rescue equipment. Role-players unite!
Personally I’m guessing the update is in two parts. The first introduce some ‘small’ content, like the off-road truck or picobuggy, update to the game engine/render, etc. Stuff that’s like the basis for the second part of the update (like last year, how they reworked the pbr stuff in the first part of the December update and in the seconde they introduced pbr to a lot of other map. So maybe if they rework how water interact with cars for the otter, it would be in the first part and in the second the otter is introduced. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if that first part is on the 1 of December with all those teasers Thursday.
Personally I think the otter emoji might have been a substitute for the beaver emoji, and this is an actual official version of the Labrador Beaver mod; I don't think the similarity in the assumed naming is a coincidance
I think you might be on to something here, as the mystery buggy appears to be rear engined, it would make sense considering the class 5 buggy has a piccolina "baja bug" adaptation, that the class 1 would have a frankenstein'd "baja-SBR" body.
I don't believe one bit that it's rear-engined. I believe it had no engine at all in that Teaser Thursday, just so the Devs "cause chaos", as Leeloo said. The scoop may be there for better airflow to the radiator, mounted below the two spares. After all, just like the fuel cell, it has to be mounted more towards the center of the vehicle for reducing its vulnerability. Plus, that was exactly the same mounting point in the LKS Prerunner too.
I hope we get a teaser tomorrow and it´s something else than offroad content for those of us who aren´t really into that stuff so we can be super-hyped about it.
It's an off-road themed update. I doubt that the next teaser won't be for the map or off-road vehicles, unless it's for the K series. The K series remaster seems to have been put on the back burner considering that after the one body kit teaser there's just been radio silence.
Even if we do only get off-road stuff, I'm positive that it's possible to make road-going versions. All it takes is a bit of tuning and about an hour. I wouldn't worry too much.
I'm sure at minimum the full Piccobuggy will get a tarmac track weapon version. That would be a cool big brother to the Mantis.
Even the baja truck could be made onto a track monster. If neither gets a tarmac version, they shouldn't be hard to make. The Piccobuggy would make a pretty good ariel atom type track car, especially if it gets a V8. If it doesn't get a V8, I'm sure many people (including me) will be greatly disappointed.
