I was beginning to think that, but the wheels really look like they are 15x8, so I’d say the van will probably be about the same height as the dseries

 

I think it's quite to the contrary, the original teaser made it appear to be much larger than it seems, and multiple others have echoed this sentiment recently.

 

Were there any signs of dirt/spray feature ? It was posted few months ago with tire thermals that it will eventually come in to the game. Also, this is heavily off-road update

 

I don't think so, at least I haven't seen anything noticeable.

 

last few weeks the teasers were only on tuesday and thursdays but never on wednesday

The van’s indicator’s seem oddly opaque. Isn’t that a little weird, seeing as some cars got their lights remastered, and it made the indicators transparent?

What’s your least favorite part of the van? Personall (this might be an unpopular opinion), I don’t like the hood vent.

 

I think this is likely just due to the style of the lighting, stuff like this typically had lights as basic as they could get, and they're often fairly opaque.

in the game announcements one of the titles of a post was phantom of the hop-era which a grass hopper emoji which has made me think hopper remaster

Here some Pinzgauer action for the meantime until we can drive his close beam relative ingame

 

So looking at the possible map location:

• There's a gas station with everything in English and gas sold in USD/gallon.
• Mountains in the background and a fair bit of rocks
• Soil color and background radio tower are similar to WCUSA. The ground overall is pretty sandy, especially in the Bello Bus teaser
• There seems to be some signs of civilization but overall pretty barren.

The gas station and soil color pretty much limits this to the American South West, basically California or southern Nevada. You could drop a pin almost anywhere in these areas and it'll match this description so far, but I would like to try and narrow it down a bit more.

• Johnson Valley is a pretty obvious possibility. It's about 100 miles from LA (so a map based on it would be close to WCUSA) and it's where King of the Hammers is held. Having a KoTH course would be perfect for the content we have been seeing. Sandy, rocky, mountainous, and limited signs of civilization without being completely in the middle of nowhere.
• Plaster city is a place I only recently learned about from a Ken Block video published last year where he takes his trophy truck over some whoops exactly like what we saw in the trophy truck teaser. From what I can gather, this is a fairly popular place to thrash on buggies and trophy trucks and the like. Looking at images on Google sometimes have mountains in the background and sometimes don't, but the area itself it very flat. Not as good of a match as Johnson Valley. While this is a really cool area IRL and having a factory town in the middle of the desert would be amazing, I don't think this is particularly likely.

As for the Bello bus engine conversation:

• The vehicle seems to be heavily inspired by the Pinzgauer, including the mechanical bits we can see, and while vehicles are often styled in a "made-for-game" fashion, they are often mechanically very similar to a particular IRL counterpart. For these reasons I suspect this will have very similar engine options as the Pinzgauer. Early Pinzgauer trucks used an air cooled petrol 2.5L i4, later increasing to 2.7L. Second gen trucks got a water cooled turbodiesel 2.4L i6. Some versions of the truck had a turbodiesel 2.5L i5 or a 3.2L turbodiesel i6. Later vehicles did include an intercooler. It would be pretty cool to see a facelift with front end changes to allow for a bigger water cooled engine like the Pinzgauer had. Overall this is a fairly interesting selection of engines, it would be our first diesel i-block other than the T-Series and DT40L (edit: referring only to trucks here, not passenger cars). It's worth noting that the Pinzgauer had multiple oil pumps to prevent oil starvation, which would be a really cool thing to see now that it is a concern in BeamNG gameplay.
• There's too many 1960's-1990's Euro utility vans with military background to start listing everything here, but i4 and i6 engines are pretty standard and some have small V8s (Jeep FC*, Land Rover 101 FC, Gaz 66). While I don't see Autobello having a factory V8 in their van, it does show that a V8 swap isn't complete nonsense.
• As for some options completely out of left field... The Alfa Romeo Romeo (great name, imagine if this is called the Autobello Bello) had a supercharged 1.2L i2 diesel. While this is earlier and less utility focused than the Bello Bus, it's so absurd to me that I feel the need to mention it.
• The first gen Fiat Ducato had an option for an NA diesel i4. I'd absolutely love to see an NA diesel in game.
• The 1960's/1970's Ford Transit did use V4 and V6 blocks. While we have no shortage of V6 options, a V4 would be quirky.
• Due to the Piccolina's relationship to the VW bug, I feel the need to mention that the VW bus used small gasoline flat engines. Due to the large front air intake, front snorkel, and general similarities to the Pinzgauer I don't think we will see any VW inspiration here.

*Yes the Jeep FC was not a Euro van, but it's close enough that I'm mentioning it
