'' I’ll be getting a small update out soon with an awesome new feature provided by @Bryan139746825. ''
I made it for this car and I already sent over the files and as mentioned, he will release it with the next update Yes I already got it done now we just need to wait for the new update
Finn, congratulations on the recognition from the game developers. The Mod turned out really amazing. A single point that caught my attention was a certain fragility of the front floor in crashes. In a crash test simulation at 64km/h the wheels entered the interior of the vehicle a little. That would certainly make it reach a maximum of 2 or 3 stars in a EuroNCap or IIHS. The new Land Cruiser received five stars.
I didn't understand. 64kmh equals 40mph, which is the speed at which frontal crash tests (moderate and small overlap) are conducted around the world.
64kmh/40 mph isn’t fast at all? In fact if floor buckled and the tires came into the footwells that easily at speeds that low I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t even be street legal in any developed country. I might test this myself later, just in case the other guy’s result was a one time fluke
However, in this case, it's terribly unrealistic. Also, to be fair I think you see more automatics in custom offroad vehicles nowadays that you see manuals. In crawling it's better because you can have constant forward force and won't have to go for the clutch super quick when you would be stalling it in the manual because of the slip which a torque converter has. In higher speed stuff (insert the D-Series Prerunner) they've got automatics (even if manually shifted) for reasons I could imagine being the fact that it's kinda hard to get the shifter into the right gear if you're going over bumps and jumps that shake the whole vehicle. With a manually shifted automatic, you simply pull the shifter back one spot and boom, you're in the next gear. Paddle shifters could also be super useful in this situation.
This is just down to how BeamNG.drive handles wheels. They don't have collisions with the vehicle, so they can clip through the interior a bit in crashes. This happens in most BeamNG.drive vanilla vehicles if you crash the car hard enough. IRL the wheels would crumple and help with the deformation, but it's just not possible here.
That explains a lot... In this case, the ideal might be to strengthen part of the suspension so that the wheels don't come back so much, if that's possible. It made me strange because many 'native' vehicles and other Mods do not have this problem even in stronger crashes.
Aftermarket modifications? Even just engine stuff? Please? This is already easily one of my favorite mods, it's just missing that little bit that every car has
I am really sorry about this but, Does @Finn Wilkinson or anyone else know someone or anyone that would be interested in making me 3-5 high or really good quality cars? Sorry for ruining this.
Do you not know how long that will take and plus you probably do not know how difficult that would be
