i also noticed that in 0.27 when you change the time of day that the environmental temperature changes as well, pretty neat
In the... environment menu --- Post updated --- Can confirm, it's been a thing for some time, not sure about earlier but i know 100% it was in the game in 0.26 EDIT: since i was curious and i had nothing better to do i checked the patch notes for mentions of it, and found this screenshot which confirms it was a thing already in v0.21
I have a hypothesis that the ETK update not being included in 0.27 is related to the tire thermals not being ready
I suspect there's multiple reasons we haven't seen the K-Series update. They really don't tease stuff that far from an update anymore so it was probably delayed for something. It would've been the first to get cut from 0.27 if they were running out of time since it doesn't fit in, but also a touring car would pair better with the tire thermal update, which they seem to have thought at the time would be released this calender year.
What if they first wanted to add new parts for the current K-Series, but then it turned into a complete overhaul/remake? It isn't a car that needs a remaster the most, but as we're doing themed updates now, a K-Series remaster would fit a track-oriented (GT3?) update more than, say, Miramar or Bluebuck.
That could be one reason among many, like the ETKs not really fitting into the "off-road" theme, the possibility that all three of the ETKs will be remastered together, or a possible new ETK being made. It could be a mixture of those four reasons. I don't know why the Bluebuck would need a remaster - sure, it's not as finely detailed as the newer vehicles, but it's perfectly fine compared to say, the Burnside or Moonhawk or Miramar or any of the much older vehicles yet to receive a remaster. Speaking of remasters - the Grand Marshal still hasn't gotten a complete one yet. Unlike its '90s Gavril brethren, it hasn't received new textures or body styles or a facelift. I guess since it's passable for now, the Marshal won't be getting a remaster for a while, but it does look quite dated compared to some of the more completely-remastered vehicles.
I'm a big fan of the new NDT's (bar grip) tire's but they are only available for the portal wheel's(?) And i would like to replicate ''Grandpa's Jeep'' So what are the chances we will see them in different sizes and available on more wheel's?
Well with the new lights, it looks pretty good, better than some other vehicles. The outdated part is mostly the interior
Regarding a new teaser...maybe they first want to read about some things we have in mind, even if it might not change that much about the next update as its main theme and contents might very well already be partly determined. If I remember correctly, the first news for 0.27 (updated ignition system) came out only a few days after the release of 0.26. So with that in mind I suspect we'll see/hear something soon to provide us with some speculation fodder.
