The tooltips in loading screens say you can enable custom user-made vehicle configs in the vehicle list by going to settings->user interface but the checkbox is not there in the settings
This setting was moved into the vehicle selector for easier access. But the tooltip definitely needs updated.
Oh right, completely forgot we had a Loading Screen hint mentioning that. Fixed for some future update, thanks for the heads up!
I decided to find something broken so I launched the game and found this in the credits. Very minor issue but
How do you edit the in game menu because there are some UI apps I don't want to have cluttering up my main screen but I still need them.
Under Controls>Bindings it is not obvious that you can get advanced options (such as invert and sensitivity) by clicking on the symbol for the current input. My first thought was that it would just have me rebind that input if I clicked on it, which I often avoid doing so I don't screw things up. Not sure what would help exactly, perhaps just having an ellipsis "..." near the controls that have advanced options under them. Or have a column header that is titled "Advanced Settings" or something. Also, the "Search bindings:" at the top does not access these advanced settings.
I recently tried Beam on my notebook with Intel HD 620. Tried both 0.27 and 0.23. In 0.23, I set it to 1280x720 and it stayed at that res. In 0.27, it was a weird experience. It randomly jumped back to 1920x1080 sometimes for no apparent reason. It was especially bad when tabbing in and out of the game and leaving/entering fullscreen with alt + enter
When trying to hold an interactable button there are 2 big quality of life issues. It feels like its randomly going from push to toggle. This happens in one of two cases: cursor goes far enough away from button or the game autohides cursor after inactivity. Easiest fix would probably be to stop autohide when interacting and for the other issue: If you hold a button and release close (so a bit further then on it) it should actually stop holding the button, but when you release far away it should keep holding the button down to act like a toggle. (altough i could understand that you'd rather not have this since its (probably) technicly a bug not a feature)
I think the UI is holding back the game a lot, it's so slow it makes the whole game feels sluggish even if the simulation running at 60fps, the UI is like at 5, making it render at native 4k includes a little performance penalty compared to 1080p. I would like to be able to bind mouse scrollwheel to shift up/down, currently it is impossible even editing the input file manually, the game refuses to accept, I have to use a buggy AHK scrip that breaks every 5 minutes.
This bug still hasn't fixed : When I'm in mod manager and trying to open a mod's description, After clicking on 'Back' it goes me into repository, where I'm not supposed to be there instead of Mod Manager (OPEN GIF IN NEW TAB)
Why is the quit button smaller than the rest? For what purpose? to make it more difficult to exit the game?
yesh mate the devs are pure evil they want to stop you from exiting the game to increase time spent in game artificially to gain more monies btw they sell ur data to microsoft
The size of the freeroam button should be increased. This is the gamemode with the most demand, currently. There is also no need for the empty screen space, either.
I do agree that the layout is not very good, everything looks similar and is close to each other, but also it's really not that big of a deal since you spend like 1% of your time in this menu
