Rolling over your car is also a good way at detatching panels. Build up a decent amount of speed and hit a ramp with one side of the car and watch it smash into many pieces. You could also drop DrowsySam's ball on your car, that works too:)

OT: While BeamNG's deformation is more realistic than NCG, I rather enjoy the arcadic damage and the way that cars explode into many pieces upon impact. I think that both games are excellent in what they set out to achieve.

this might be a little off-topic but im sorry as NCG can't realy interest me when i can play BeamNG instead and you just talked about panels and parts coming off.
I noticed that sometimes a car in BeamNG happens to rest laying or sustaining more than 50% of his mass onto an open door or worse even on open trunk and hood.
In the most extreme case, which i failed to capture, the grand marshal was basicaly only touching the ground with the end of the open trunkcover and open hood being both folded up laying across the windshield- and backwindow while the car rested on it being upside down. I was wondering why those are so strong when pointed straight but not sideways onto a resisting force (object).

Sry little diffuse to describe, i will try to recreate the situation and take screenshotts.

I'm not sure what you're describing but....

If you're rolling then you probably aren't bearing the full weight of the car on them. Although I admit that the hood and trunk bend out the way with little effort from a real car in any rollover I've seen so perhaps they are improbably sturdy. Anyway, this is why it's a beta. Gabester may be quite far on but there's always more research to be done.

what i think people mean when they say its too jelly or something . that if you crash and the car gets damaged, some parts like a hood or a door or somethin keeps vibrating a bit too much. if you watch a view crash videos on YT in slow motion and without and compare it to beamng . in real the cars jiggle a bit just like in beamng but in beamng sometimes they keep jiggling for quite a long time a maybe sometimes a bit too much.

    but maybe i am wrong

I know what you mean. Often when you crash a car particularly hard, the nodes tend to continue to wobble about infinitely, whereas there should only wobble about for a short period of time (basically the duration of the crash).

Anyway, in this regard I think BeamNG has improved this aspect vastly over RoR, and almost all of the time it isn't noticeable with a well designed jbeam, it's only extreme crashes that cause it, which I suppose is to be expected as the jbeam would behave differently when deformed into a new shape.

Isn't that vibrating caused by collision of detached car parts? And the cars are quite too wobbly even during the crash, although, yes, it happens in real life too. Take a look at this and notice the fender:

but in BeamNG almost everything wobbles like that. In BeamNG the car models are very simple, for example a door is just a one layer of nodes connected together, whereas in reality it's a more complicated structure, that's why it doesn't wobble so much. I also heard there is a limitation in beam stiffness if the physics is running only 2000fps. So if we had more performance for simulating a more complicated n/b structure at let's say 10 000fps then there would be less wobbling, I guess.

Smaller parts wobble like IRL, however whole car in BeamNG wobbles too much, but it can be reduced by modifying spring, damp and deformation values.

This sounds like a likely solution, the spring damp deform values will have to be tweaked to perfection. Im sure it would take quite a while.

10000 physics fps eh? yeah i think even Nasa's Computer's would have trouble with that

Looks fun, seems to have faster progress than BeamNG, but
    BeamNG is WAY much better!

as said, don't bump threads (at least without somthing critical to say, and i don't mean being a critic either)

not only that, but you can't really compare beamng and Next Car Game, there both going for 2 different idea's, BeamNG is a soft-body physics simulation, and Next Car Game is an Arcade Racer

So this update was posted September 2nd. They've had to push it back and im assuming the coming week will be the release date. I cant wait for the oval and multiplayer. Get to finally wreck people and not get suspended for it (iRacing) lol.

(i know i know, 'dont bump'...someone was going to anyway with the new build coming)

Any one else excited for multiplayer or want to play when it comes? I think my steam is linked, will edit with profile link if not.

Please don't ask people not to bump threads. I hate you people. I guarentee if he made a new thread you would be the first telling him to use this thread instead. You people frustrate me to no end.

This game's slightly strange handling coupled with my 7 Fps makes it unplayable.

Weird, what are you using to play? But yeah wouldnt doubt there will be problems with it, my guess is they will be getting reports and releasing a hotfix tomorrow
