0.27 Discussion Thread

After alot of playing around with EV's, the biggest anoyance to me is that theres no hotkeys for setting the regen to different settings.
Its so anoying to have to reach over to my keyboard (quite far away in my setup) when i want less or more regen.
For the rest this update has been great!

 

for some while i have the problem that the cockpit cam isnt centered when changing parts or changing values in the tuning menu

 

Pretty sure thats intented, to relocate the center of the screen for compensation of the menu being open.

 

not that i know about it , like you changed the seating position to left or right

 

I didn't figure it was intentional design to let you place 2 beams between the same 2 nodes. oh well, bruh.

There are le issues...
- D-Series, no window crank on rear door panels (older ones)
- D-Series, miscolored floor behind front seats on 'short body' and behind rear seats on 'extended short body'
- Travel Trailer, those stripes aren't colorable even though they were long time ago
- Bolide, front license planes on GTT nosecone are broken (especially the one on bumper)
- no GRASS, but yes stones, weird.. (apparently AMD issue)
- dynamic reflections broken since forever (AMD issue), but i already gave up on them because...
- massive performance drop after 0.26 and even worse after 0.27

Edit:
- the 'Generate thumbnail on save' always checks itself on after reopening the parts selector

 

Verified this using safe mode. Attaching the 3-link suspension on the short Gavril frame (for e.g. the D10) outputs a warning "mesh 'pickup_uppermounts_R_4link_short' not found". The .dae I checked has upper mounts only for the standard bed and long bed frames, however there does exist the lower mounts for the short frame.

 

I've noticed that hazard lights turn off when the ignition position is OFF but real cars can use their hazard lights when the key isn't in the ignition.
EDIT: Same also happens with emergency vehicle lights.

 

The "Car Trials" scenario resets itself as soon as the countdown finishes.

 

Yes, I have this problem, too. you can see my messages, BeamNG devs still not know. I tried Safe mode and deactivate the mods, ALL MODS, but still the same

New bugs:
in Italy, I have some grasses in the middle of dirt roads, specially in high altitudes like Castelleto or road from Portino to Fastello

Bastion has some strange issues with the twin turbo supercharger from the redtail engine flopping like mad when used on the offroad config.



as a sidenote, they kinda look like tusks from a halo warthog with the offroad bastion's default color!

 

I have this issue too, one side note is that it does it on all configurations, and the PSI gauge doesn't appear.

 

An extra light source appears near the headlight or taillight. They move with the vehicle and are not in the position they should be. This does not appear in safe mode and only occurs in the normal version of the game with the graphics set to "low".
Also, I tried to take a screenshot of this, but for some reason it often does not show up in what I take. In this picture of the H series, you can see the displaced light circled in red, but in reality there are also two orange light sources floating near the turn signal, one on each side.
The game version is 0.27.1 with one clean install and none of the mods.

 

let them say thank you that the developers are updating the game at all and not abandoned
