Hi guys! I'm working on a new config pack that only uses vanilla (base-game) parts, so you don't have to download another mod to use them! This pack will include but is not limited to track cars and drift cars. Now, I want to make sure that these configs drive as well as possible. I tried my best to tune the cars so they can corner as fast as possible or just handle as well as possible, while still being somewhat easy to control. Thing is, I play with a keyboard, which means that I probably won't be able to really "feel" the car when I'm driving around So what I'll do on this thread, is post different configs and let you test-drive them. If I could get some tips and suggestions from those of you who play with a controller or even better yet, a wheel setup, that'll be great! Basically, I'll post a new config every now and then, you guys give me some feedback on how to make the configs drive better, and I'll retune each config accordingly And yes, you can be as critical as you want in your feedback, so long it's reasonable. How to install: just drop the zip into your mods folder For now, I'll post one config: the 200BX "Bluebird". This car aims to be a very stable and controllable drifter, that's the whole point of the config. So far, the car is still kind of twitchy (or I just suck at drifting), and I hope to fix that. UPDATE: added Covet "Yellowbird": a custom Covet built by Goose Works, a fictional Canadian tuning company. Based on the GTz, the Yellowbird has been repainted in, well, bright yellow and features race suspension, special wheels wrapped in slicks, as well as a heavily tuned n/a inline-4. (still have to take a decent picture to put on here) UPDATE 2: added Pessima "Blackout". This is one menacing-looking car. The suspension on this Pessima is tuned for the best track performance, aka it's supposed to zoom around corners in the most stable manner. Cheers!
I had fun ripping it around, you have just mastered everything on it! its surprisingly easy to drift solid 10/10!
Aw thanks, it really means a lot to me. I'll see if I can improve it even further, though. Also, I just edited the main post, hehe..
The Yellobirb feels like a pretty nice and controllable car, its nice for just cruising around, anyways I took a bunch of pictures, (because i was bored, lol) you can use these photos if you want and put them on the main post.
Goosiest is a YouTuber who drifts, and plays BeamNG --- Post updated --- also, Goosiest’s channel color is yellow
It was originally called Maple Works as it's supposed to be a fictional Canadian tuning company, but I changed it to Goose Works because why not.
*casually bumps my own thread* Right, I've just submitted the config pack and now it's waiting for approval. All 3 cars are included, as well as, like, a billion other ones. I'll post the link here once it's on the repo. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
