This simple mod based on existing JBEAMs adds strobe functionality to the Gavril D-series front and fender turn signals, and the H-series front turn signals. Also, it adds the option for wig-wag lighting to the Bastion's concealed LED flashers, or to add wig-wags in lieu of the red and blue flashers. The standalone wig-wag lights for the bastion also have a custom lighting pattern. All that is left to do before release is to add strobe functionality to the D-series tail lights. Otherwise, I have not encountered any bugs or issues. The mod will be released as soon as I am able to figure out how the hell to add this. For the Bastion, the part is found under "roof accessory", unlike the D-series and H-series. This is because there are no lightbar options which have strobe functionality for the turn signals for the pickup and van. Even the rollback has this function tied to the rollback deck JBEAM instead of its lightbar. Bastion: D-Series and H-series:
As shown, I have added separate tail lights with strobes. They too are compatible with the roof-mounted lights. I added this function by duplicating the "reverse" line of the JBEAM under the "props" section, and adding the suffix wigwag_L or wigwag_R to ["reverse" ... ]. Sadly, this does not work perfectly. The lights are not observable at up-close angles, and the texture of the reverse light does not change as it should. This also means that the reverse light strobes will not work with modded tail lights, such as those added in AR162B's D-series mod, or the DFA mod. I know very, very little about JBEAM, and LUA files might as well be written in another language for me. It'll take a lot of effort to figure out how to fix this, although I'm optimistic since I have been learning at a fast pace. Once I figure out how to get the texture to change like it does when the truck is put in reverse, I will do the same for the van. It will then be ready for release. If anyone knows how I can get the texture of the light to change with the strobe, please let me know. I would love to spend more time working on this, but I have to spend the time fixing my car instead.
