Continuing my journey of discovery in BeamNG and enjoying every second --- Post updated --- I really enjoy just driving around the maps and discovering small settlements, 'Migratory Bird Research Station' is one such area and the 'Cell Tower' type structure off in the distance in the Johnsons Valley map, had seen this Tower in the background of some of my screen shots, thought to myself...'Must drive there'....very nice touch BeamNG
Being a Sim Racer, I am totally amazed that I can live the scenario of a Race car driver loading up a Trailer with a car, driving to the Track, unload the vehicles and race...mind blown, very cool indeed. Nice work BeamNG. Is there a large '6 Car / 2 tear Trailer Transporter' that I could connect to a Truck with moving / functioning ramps like the 'Gavril Tip Truck'...would love to beable to drive onto and load up 6 Race cars and travel to a destination far away, unload then race --- Post updated --- Loading up the Truck with the Off Road vehicles to spend a day racing and crawling at 'Dunekicker Base Camp'....just a magical experience BeamNG --- Post updated --- Realy appreciate the 'Set Route' function in BeamNG as I get lost quite frequently. Would like some options in the 'Set Route', eg same as it is now and a 'Long Travel Route' which takes you on a long drive all around the map to the same destination, a challenge and also see the sights Had a small crisis on the way though, beached the Trailer Legs on a hill top, would not move...luckily the Truck has adjustable 'Spring Height' and I was able to raise the Trailer just enough to continue moving forward. Glad I had my TM Handbrake as I was able to do a smooth Hill Start....sweating bricks....cars don't fall off, please....this was a really enjoyable experience, just like IRL...love it beamNG --- Post updated --- ???? why am I getting double posts
Just a Sim Racer that enjoys driving quality Sims like BeamNG and doing screenshots in a 'Photo Mode' that has absolutely fantastic functionality when combined with 'Replays' and the 'World Editor'...satisfies my creative side immensely I spend anywhere from 1 - 7 hours driving and setting up Screenshots, love every second when the Photo Mode is great and gives the final result....and no I'm not paid to do it I try not to use mid day sun when I can, compose the screenshot, then move the 'Time of Day' slider around to get some great lighting...that's the key When I'm not in 'Screenshot Mode' I'll just race or drive the cars around, it's absolutely awesome in BeamNG...loving it
Trying out, what I believe to be a Free Mod here in BeamNG, amazing. The creator 'Finn Wilkinson' did a fantastic job on his '2022 Procyon Centauri' as it just feels and sounds great when driving...check out his post in the 'Mods' section of BeamNG Finn did say this car isn’t the kindest to FPS due to screens and lua functions...holy moly he's right...although I do have an old PC I like that the BeamNG Map Artists add signage to the maps, gives a lived in look to the maps / towns etc when driving through.
Trying out the more Off road looking 'Procyon Centauri U340 TD HT38', and it performs and looks great. If this is the quality content that BeamNG is heading for in the future....absolutely brilliant looking forward to it. --- Post updated --- Love the 'Time of Day' slider in photo mode...as you can change the feel of the shot even when the screenshot is composed, just move the slider back and forth watching for the right lighting and shadows shapes it creates ...just awesome The below screenshots have been composed, I just moved the 'Time of Day' slider to create different lighting / shadows. Another process I always use is the 'Depth of Field Controls' slider below Time of Day, to help blur the backgrounds that are off in the distance. The 'Ambient Occlusion Controls' is used occasionally as this helps the shadow under your car...have a play around to see the results
