Apparently BeamNG cant load 90mb .dae's. Don't know why (imported from here) (imported from here) So people don't murder me : (imported from here) btw in blender cycles how do you render in 4k or do you just put the resolution as 4096x4096 or is it something to do with samples. Blender noob, still -.-
This has been eating at me for a while and I have to say something. It's Moonhawk. 1 word. Flows better. Sounds better. When you say Moon hawk, my mind can't help but read it like Moon...hawk and it drives me crazy. You might want to consider Calling your car the Moonwell, instead of Moon well, because it looks like you're doing the 2 words combined route for the name of your car. It'd look much better.
(One with wireframe, one without). I'm scanning pretty much the whole car. You can bet your arse that this model is gonna be as accurate as it could ever be without using a laser-scanner View attachment 43544 View attachment 43545 Bear in mind that the cloth on my door trim is hanging off like that in real life, that's not the program being buggy. These could've been a lot better. I couldn't quite get the angle right, due to the windscreen, open/closed door and a-pillar being in the way, so the pictures were at too big of a distance from eachother, and the program couldn't recognize the lower and right half of the seat. They're still useful though, can easily use them to piece together a complete seat that's 100% accurate in shape to the real one. I am suprised the little storage pocket in the center console didn't get picked up. In both the lower and backrest parts of the seat, the program thought that pocket was flat and closed off. EDIT: Moar!. My shoot on the mirrors didn't work, too many reflections I guess, with not enough ref points :/ Need to put some blue cellotape on it or whatever or paint masking tape, so it can recognize the points on it. And the front wheels worked out even better! Now I have 5 spokes that are 100% perfectly shaped
I was about to tell you how to get the rest of the seat and center console details by adding small pieces of masking tape. But you seem to know that I actually downloaded 123D Catch again and boy is it fun? I´m gonna scan my own car too!
...When it says not responding, that doesn't mean it crashed. Let it actually import the DAE rather than being impatient.
New ass. You can really see how much the fenders have been flared (imported from here) Revised alternator placement, added twin scroll supercharger. Excuse the super low poly pulleys, they're tucked just inches away from the firewall so you won't see them unless you go looking. (imported from here) You can probably tell I don't know too much about engines.
Camshafts only seem to be on one cylinder bank and way too low. These are both from an audi, well, technically its the diagram for the timing belt and the actual engine. It is slightly overcomplicated compared to some systems as it also drives both the oil pump (OILP) and the water pump (WP) which can both be driven from the accessory belt. But if you compare your engine to the audi, your camshafts arent brilliantly placed. View attachment 43556 View attachment 43557 One notable thing about the audi is that its a single overhead shaft not dual as your engine likely would be. This image is for a lotus esprit which is dual overhead cam. 2 camshafts per side rather than just the 1 on the audi and as a result you have 2 pulley wheels and an extra tensioner. Ah, you're right. The belts you see there are accessory/fan/serpentine belts. I planned on extending the front of the block to allow clearance for the timing belt (which won't be visible), but it looks like I stuck the accessory belts right where the timing belt should be... D'oh! Thanks for picking that up edit: should also explain that the s/c and alternator are on a separate belt because the rocker covers get in the way if any pulley is placed above and inline with the inner belt.
Not sure if it's worth the post but meh..... Downloaded blender and decided to try to modify one of the ingame cars by removing a part of the roof. (I forgot to apply the edge split :| ) (imported from here) Then decided to remove it completely. (imported from here) (imported from here) In-game. (imported from here) I might actually finish this once i figure out how to use the other tools. And how to modify jbeam.
I guess its ready for textures. Full credits to gabester for the Moonhawk steering wheel and the seats.
Utility truck is updated. Added wheel jack 2 speakers and a radio Still lots more of work to be done.
