Sorry bout bombing in forums, but when make mission and put things how im supposed to decide where AI spawns and how? It's a big clump of cars rightnow falling from the cliff as they clearly don't spawn in starting positions and no clue how to tell them to. Heeeelp
Here is a video link for the best walk-through I have found. You still need to know how the game directory system works and how to game uses prefabs and other graphical items. Many questions are still not answered, but that is how beam is. They gave a crap ton of tools and knew a few of us would get it. I set up my first race on lake park, and after adding prefabs and all the cars for 6 AI racers, it took me about an hour. Good Luck
Hi thx for reply i happened to find out already how those missions works, but like you said many questions still not answered I made 16 missions to my map and tested how those work and on AI races you can get upto 9 max and even more if you edit flowgraph somehow what i have not tested out yet. Now i don't have knowledge how i can add those mission files to my map so it would work properly and to be honest i haven't even tryed got bored xd Under waypoints in race editor u can the waypoint to capsule and edit it more accurately without adding too many checkpoints that i learned too
Man, you are ahead of me. I have been stuck for two weeks doing ground modeling corrections in maps to get grass and sand to properly "grab" the cars creating proper crashes. For the life of me I cannot make the changes stick per map. What I cant figure out on the AI races is how to get the AI to be smoother and stop slamming on the brakes randomly.
Lol i might just sound that im ahead, but i have exact same problem as you seem to have with an AI driving very shittily. Ive tryed to make many roads using 'decal roads' and change track curvature and smoothness and stuff and i have very wide road, but still they out of the track and drive stupidly. I have seasons when im motivated to tinker with world editor, but i can assure it's not today and not this week :/ World is shit place. I dont know anything about making ground modeling corrections i only use textures and the options to 'choose the surface' aka basic stuff in world editor. I would like to suggest put the gravity settings to -10 as normally it's -9.8. Somehow i think it feels better by raising the gravity just a little bit. Would be awesome to help you, but not sure can i
