I wonder if this car was around on april 15 1989,i think this glorious piece of engineering couldve helped alot

 

no, production started in '97 and as its normal, the first produced ones were labelled as '98 since they also started selling in january 98

 

I'm pretty sure it needs to have a weaker engine because China wasn't the best at making cars back then and a weaker model for the same reason as I said before and possibly an executive model for all the important people.

 

There is a black high-end model in the pack already.Weak engines aren't so necessary,but giving the weak engine some unique settings such as CNG powered(decreases engine output but lowers operating costs in real world,typical in old taxi fleets in China)would be cool though,as currently there's no engine running on compressed gas in BNG.

 

so now i need to find someone who knows engines

Actually at that time joint venture cars like this one use engines directly imported from the manufacture, like Toyota, Honda or Mitsubishi. Later these Japanese manufactures authorized some Chinese manufacture to make them locally. And these Chinese firm did some reverse engineering afterwards.
By and large the engine of the car should base on JP technology, so weaker one should be unnecessary.

And there's an interesting fact about these taxis: their fuel (or gas) tanks are extra added in their trunks in order to make them able to burn both LPG/LNG and petrol. Much better if an extra model can be made.

I would love a taxi skin/config, I see these taxis everywhere when I was in China. A custom interior would be lovely too but if all of this is too much it's fine. Thanks for the mod!

 

Taxi is planned, idk about the interior, but it might be possible, well see. Also im working on tiny fixes rn

 

Is it actually possible to create extended wheelbase version (add length in b pillar) as luxury version?

 

i suppose i could try making a extended version like Skoda Octavia had or a limo version

Is there a good reason why this is a separate vehicle? It seems stupid to limit compatibility with other mods by having it be a parts pack for the pessima

good mod, it fits well with the Chinese market. I don't know much about the Chinese market, but yeah. anyways a few suggestions are that you should make a hood ornament or badge for the chairman model. or higher-end ones. you should also add some comfort style struts for the chairman model. also maybe a stock turbo model, regular GTz, or the GTz+. instead of using a sport intake which doesn't have as much kick as a GTz turbo. I kind of understand if you don't put in a turbo but yeah. These are just some suggestions, great mod tho.
