The Dunekicker is inspired on Jimco Spec Trophy Truck, witch is based on Ford Raptor, so maybe in the future we could have a new pickup based on Ford Raptor, exits many Trophy Trucks based on pickup trucks. So maybe Dunekicker could be like that, but we don't know.
The Jimco is based on the Ford Raptor in the same way the Nascar gen 7 platform is based on a Toyota Camry. Which is to say it isn't. Aside from the engine there isn't a single part on that thing that would be used on a street truck. Unless the team wants to take SP in the direction of Local Motors or something like that, SP will most likely stay a garage fab company.
What makes you say that it is entirely based on a Jimco truck? The devs have said a couple times now that their vehicles are unique designs with inspiration from a WIDE number of vehicles, whether engineering, design, or other categories. There is no one definitive inspiration for BeamNG vehicles, other than a fairly wide category of similar vehicles IRL.
I didn't say that it's entirely based on Jimco Spec, is based on many Trophy Trucks but some part like the faisca, is likely from Jimco Spec.
Well you could say the Dunekicker is based on the theoretically coming street legal truck, definetly not the other way around. But as many before mentioned, the two trucks would have nothing in common apart from the engine. And on a slightly different note: really looking forward to tomorrow, hoping there will finally be the first teaser for 0.28
I will literally keep living my life as normal Beamng.gmbh is using the motorcade to transport top secret teasers, and he needs to break them out.
The last update was their biggest one yet and only 2 months ago, chill out and let them have a some time to work on new and old stuff.
