I installed a few car mods but they dont work in game

I just got this today and saw you could get different cars and play with them. I installed a couple cars and i couldnt get any of them to work. i got the game with steam. when i take the folder containing the car data and put it in the vehicles folder i can see it in the selection list in game but when i click on it i get nothing for the model and nothing works. however i can switch to a different car that was already in the game and it works just fine. ive tried this with 3 different vehicles with none of them working. any ideas?

 

Have you renamed the Vehicle mods that usually breaks it unless you renamed some stuff in it (which takes an eternity)
Make sure you haven't renamed anything

 

Where these car mods from the official BeamNG website?

 

No i did not edit any names just extracted the .zip to the vehicles folder

yes i got the cars from on here. it was a couple buggys i tried to get. i did them one at a time to try and see if it was a file error

 

Make sure there isn't a folder within a folder. If you click on the car's folder in the vehicles folder, there should be all the files, not another folder.

(I realize I said folder way too many times in those sentences)

 

That did it. There was a folder inside the folder for the vehicle, i just took that out and put it with the rest and it worked just fine. thank you for your help

 

Okay so im having the same problem. there are no folders in the car's folder. Even though when i spawn it i see the car but you can go through it with other cars and i cant drive them. please help
