It would be cool if you could add boxes or other cargo to trunks like the roof boxes

Generally delivery missions for career mode.
Those could be some of the simplest missions to implement I would imagine.
Although the cargo system itself might be a bit of a pain.

Something similar to this would be neat to have:

not naming the game cause I want to stay on topic

I just remembered sth. that Leeloo mentioned/teased in the 0.27 update blog which, as far as i can remember didn't get too much attention yet. "This map also features a selection of new rocks, placement of which has been very tricky – in no small part due to gameplay requirements we won’t spoil for you yet." For me that sounds a lot like movable rocks but that might just be my hope talking. Maybe this is sth to add to the list off posible things to come in 0.28?

No, they just made new rocks for the map, they were also posted as a teaser in November

They were teased, no doubt about that but they had to be placed manually for a future gameplay mechanic, that is what I find to be interesting

If K-series gets remaster and facelift it will be strange for 800-series to not get atleast a remaster if not a facelift too, so next teaser very likely to be with 800-series IMO.

"Gameplay requirements" doesn't automatically mean a brand new mechanic though, for all we know she could've been talking about the crawler missions in the new map

You‘re right, however, I wouldn’t call the crawling missions future gameplay mechanics, which is indicated by saying that they do not want to spoil anything yet. So the mechanic isn’t in game yet. But your point sounds reasonably

The map also wasn't in the game yet, that's why I'm saying it, she maybe didn't want us to know the updated was going to be offroad themed

The “future gameplay mechanics” were mentioned in the devlog when the update released

I think I've seen a pattern the devs might be sticking to. In 0.25 a new vehicle was released and an environment was released (garage mode). In 0.26 the covet was remastered and QOL improvements were made (working odometers and animated shifters. In 0.27 5 new vehicles were released and a new environment was also released (Johnson Valley). 0.28 teasers have confirmed a remastered vehicle and a QOL improvement (openable doors in all vehicles). But in all major updates since 0.23, graphical improvements have been made. 0.23 was pbr, 0.24 and 0.24.1 and 0.25 had more pbr, 0.26 had motion blur and more pbr, 0.27 had improved bloom effect. 0.28 might introduce radial blur and possibly even more pbr. But that's a weird pattern I found, feel free to discuss this.

Yeah, I thought you thought it was in the teaser, and I knew @Aquila:) knew it was in the dev blog.

I wouldn’t say garage mode is a “major environment”, but I see your point

You're right, corrected it to an environment.

No, they had to be placed manually to allow the dirt roads to actually be usable and fun. The forest editor brush placement system doesn't rotate meshes as they need to be rotated, and requires a lot of manual work afterwards to look natural and for the reason mentioned above.

This sure is another reason for the rocks to be placed manually, but as I said before, how is this a future mechanic, that Leeloo doesn’t want to spoil yet? That means it is not present yet, whereas driving on the map is already possible
