Windows Virus Protection flagging Wendover as a backdoor

I went to open the game today and when I did the game didn't launch. So i went to steam and validated the files and when It was downloading the files windows security kept popping up saying the Wendover file is a backdoor and it would not download, I talked to my friend and he said to submit it to the fourm because something like this happened recently. I assume its a false positive but i am not gonna open the game until im sure.

Just got this issue, my virus updates just checked today with no new updates, and it's still here

I have the same issue and windows decided to remove the wendover and it wont start anymore.

 

I have the same issue and the car isn't in the selection anymore.

 

Since BeamNG hasn't been updated for a while, it is clear that a Windows Defender update is causing problem. Updating virus & threat protection again will likely make things worse.
Simply add an exclusion to BeamNG folder and you are good to go

 

oh, so Windows Defender knows how to flag a random file as a virus, but not how to turn this shit on (i already restarted. three times)

Im having the same issue and i don't know how to fix this.

 

If this doesn't teach people that defender and most antiviruses in general are bullshit I don't know what will
