Turns out when he had his first car, a 1973 AMC Hornet, that got stolen and was sent to a chop shop and was "torn up from the floor up" in his words when he found it... and I should say he was born in '63 and had screwed up his 20 years of marriage to his wife and my mom for getting scammed and cat fished on the internet since 2017 (he was married to my mom at what used to be The Riviera back in Feb 22, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV) but he'll tell people otherwise because as my dead Aunt Terresa would say it "He's a liar from hell" just like Margret is a Bitch from hell...
After many hours I present to you updated version of my Bruckell performance pack, with hopes that it might get featured in the next update. The MEGA link stays the same and while I was at it, I have made some advertisments for all three of the sporty models. Have as much fun testing it, as I had working on it https://mega.nz/folder/z6wF1JCQ#2KudBYstbPMBzpVg11jRXA
Had some time so I have decided to sketch a rough idea of a certain part. I have tried my best to keep the visibility of the essential parts as good as possible while still maintainging the overall flow of the design. I think it is essential to have it, as it will further distinquish the sporty version from regular ones, and now that I know how to bake my ao textures, it doesn't seem "out of reach" anymore.
There you go, my progress so far with the rear tailgate spoiler. I have tried to follow my sketch as much as possible, however I also wanted it to fit with the existing tailgate, so I had to make some compromises here and there. Visibility of lights should not be affected, it is exactly as long as the bottom of the tailgate, so the overall lenght of the vehicle stays the same. Visibility from the rear window was compromised slightly, but not so much as to make it useless. The angle is litterally set to 0°, making it aerodinamicly useless and solely as a way to further distinquish the sport model. Now its time for materials, mapping, ao textures, getting rear light to work properly and the playing arround with nodes
@Urbanmaid is there a specific reason as to why Legran 2 has fully baked AO texture, while the Legvan does not? I couldn't find it in the file, and when I looked up the legvan_main in materials, I have found out that it uses plain white square.
This is very likely going to be the last time I am going to update it, as I genuinely think that I have given it everything that I could. I sincerely hope that it is going to become a part of the official pack, but nothing is guranteed. https://mega.nz/folder/z6wF1JCQ#2KudBYstbPMBzpVg11jRXA So I want to start with its beginning, which happened back in November. It really started as nothing more than me wanting to improve already existing performance variant of Legran 2, by giving it a less blocky shift knob and a clutch pedal. Even though my experience with modding was severly limited, I have still done as much as I could. The clutch, for example, actually got its own textures and the knob has been redone 3 times, until I got it right. But it was Legvan that really cought my eye. As it didn't have a manual transmission, I thought It would be interesting to swap it from here. Having done the swap, I thought it would be funny to make a quick version. Back then it didn't have a facelifted version nor sideskirts and I didn't want to mess with gauges, so I have just removed the automatic gear selector. The method of coloring the interior was nowhere near as good, as I had trouble with colour matching, and seats were left unchanged. It did have black Basketwaves and red calipers on all four sides, so that was something. I have also made a pretty simplistic modification to the stripes livery, which now had 4000 SPORT written on it. The rear suspension couldn't handle power at all, so I have used the one from an even older version, which had a tendency to change camber and bounce, making the minivan incredibly unpredictable. The project had kind of been forgotten until february, when proper version was released and I have chosen to try making it again. This time based on a more sporty version with sideskirts, I knew it will look far better. So I have used pre existing transmission swap, this time focusing more on the rest of the interior (a proper manual gear indicator, red seats, ...) and I have chosen to go with wing type Floaters instead. I have kept the wings livery, and I have found a way to lower the suspension. Speaking of which, I was very happy that it was at least partially better than the previous one. My brother persuaded me to make an account and share it with you all. I was so happy when Urban gave me permission, that I kept working on it as soon as I woke up. I have decided to improve the exhausts, firstly going with 3 centered pipes, but thank god I have chosen fully functional quad setup instead. Then it was time to give it some kind of strut bar, which after playing arround with nodes, became functional as well. Rims didn't look sporty enough, so I have made them black and gave them a modern red Bruckell logo. Some time later, I have finally decided to give Legran 2 some love too. It bothered me that It didn't have any kind of rear sideskirt, so after 3 attempts, I have managed to make a pretty decent looking one. Then it was time to adress the badging and interior. At first I couldn't decide whether to go with original 3.5 liter or upgraded 4.0 liter, in the end I came up with two performance versions, a fun and affordable SPORT and completely insane UNCAGED. Legvan wasn't improved by much, only real differences were the fixed rear subframe, thanks to the latest update, and bigger rims. The final stretch! After many attempts, Legvan finally received its very own tailgate spoiler and hood wents. It now also has its own UNCAGED livery, further refferencing it to the top trim Legran 2. And I am happy to say, that both models finally have fully animated shifters, though it did take me a whole day to figure them out. To conclude, It has been quite a journey, with many challenges and obsticles along the way. But It was always a joy to unleash my creativity and continuously make them better. I am endlessly greatful to everyone who supported me by trying out my work for themselves, and especially Urban, who gave me permissions and a fantastic mod to work on, while also being quite an inspiration. See you again!
i know this mod wont be updated anymore but i wanted to report a small visual bug. The left quarter window has a weird bug reflection.
For the VRV (as in the one currently being developed) I would like to suggest a trim based on the OSV Concept for the Oldsmobile Silhouette. https://www.car.info/en-se/oldsmobile/concept/silhouette-osv-concept-34626805
Not textures on the SUV or the LeGran, I've tried clearing cache but it hasn't worked. Am I being stupid or?
