Nice car, good JBeam, fun to drive. This car is also a BRICK... You crash this, you'll be happy to know that your Volvo will still be a Volvo. In a 40 MPH small overlap. The vehicle collided with the barrier, the driver and passenger did not hit ANY dashboard areas, but the passenger slammed into the headrest of the seat. The crumple zone did a good job taking the impact and the passenger compartment was left without damage, heck, the windshield could probably be taken off and reused! Great rating! Below is a picture of the vehicle after the test
This is one of My fovourite mods that I have in Beamng. If you red this please make an Diesel r5 with more power like twin turbocharger and supercharger. And an completly beige interior. !Thanks for this beatiful mod!
It was good, there are 3D models in Forza Motorsport 6, https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Volvo_33_Wilson_Security_Racing_GRM_S60 https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Volvo_S60_STCC
there is good models i could use yes, and it would be really cool to have it in game, however since its strictly a track car, the entire car would pretty much have to be made from the ground up in order to accurately replicate a real track volvo s60
It has come to my attention that a particular forum user and mesh-slapper decided to use one of Spiicy's modeled wheel meshes for his own Volvo mod, without even asking for permission or giving proper attributions. I'm talking about DrunkDriver, aka FastLane. When I saw his Ko-Fi listing for a Volvo XC90 mod, I became suspicious immediately and had to investigate this further. As it turns out, my suspicions were correct. The wheel model he used is the 18-inch Tucan wheel, which isn't even offered on the second-generation XC90. I cross-checked the polyflow between the one from the S60 mod and the one from his XC90 mod. Needless to say, they are identical, save for the Volvo badge he added onto the wheel cap. Did you think Spiicy and I wouldn't notice this, FastLane? We are appalled in that you neglected to seek either one of us for permission. Just because we released the S60 mod publicly does not mean you could use its assets for your own creations. We are asking you to remove the Tucan wheel mesh from your XC90 mod (which itself primarily used a Forza Motorsport 7 model). In other words, merely crediting us, even after I posted this message on behalf of Spiicy, will not suffice anymore as you are not authorized to use that wheel model. On another note, Spiicy and I are aware of some broken materials when using the mod in version 0.28. The S60 mod will be updated soon with these fixes, as well as a few minor changes and improvements. Stay tuned for more information
I am really sorry for that, I will never do it again. The mod was updated on ko-fi with those wheels removed and replaced with realistic XC90 ones for the Momentum trim level. (got the model from gamemodels ru)
New Update big thanks to @baarry5444 for this update whats different? Finally adds metric clusters, I know alot of people have wanted this from the beginning. Fixes the black boxes around alot of the interior text, making everything look nicer. Mainly the steering wheel, radio and door buttons. some various other bug fixes too such as fixing some broken materials with the engine and shifters, some centercaps on wheels fixed. Headlight reflector materials fixed. USDM reflectors now only emit one brightness instead of two, regardless of low or high beams turned on The wheel meshes have been moved to the common folder so you can now use them easily on any other vehicle, without having to load the volvo in first. And updated thumbnails. The facelift gauge cluster still does not work. Download is on page 1
Pretty fun to take this Volvo and then make it as a daily driver in this game. Still a great mod by the way.
he isn't really a mesh slapper he actually uses a custom Jbeam like The Author of the 4Runner and Defender Mods and makes them up to good standards way better than your average modland cars.
I think you misunderstood my message regarding DrunkDriver/FastLane; his mods are still mesh-slaps, no matter how you look at them. Most people will agree that taking an official content vehicle's JBeam structure and using it for a mesh sourced elsewhere is a mesh-slap; even editing said structure to fit the mesh will not change that fact. The only way for a JBeam structure to be called "custom" is if the entire structure is made from scratch (for instance, Stoat Muldoon's Coronet and LucasBE's DeLorean mods both qualify as such). As far as I'm aware of, JorgePinto admitted that his Defender, 4Runner, and 205 mods are mesh-slaps. Unlike the majority of third-party mods found on sketchy websites, he had plenty of effort put into those vehicle mods so that they are realistic as much as possible. The same can be said for the S60 mod; it's still a mesh-slap (neither Spiicy nor I are hiding that fact), but at least there was a good chunk of effort to make the mod decent and acceptable for the public. Now, it is possible that DrunkDriver/FastLane may have put in more effort into his mods than I originally assumed. But said mods are still mesh-slaps at the end of the day. Please do your research first before jumping to conclusions and getting the wrong idea.
Would be nice if the Volvo would come as a hybrid, with a real plug-in hybrid system or the arcanox. Would that ever be possible to make?
