I'm not much of a programmer, but there's a flaw here. A scenario: two AI vehicles are closest to one another. They each select one another as their target, and drive headlong into each other. But because they still remain their closest two opponents, neither of them aim for any of the other cars and continue to accelerate/steer into one another, even though they're both stopped. With only the above logic, the AI would fall into a stalemate almost immediately.
It's not much useful to have thermals alone without any tire wear. Tire heating is closely related not only to grip but also to damage tire receives while slipping and overall degradation of (over)heated wheel and a possibility of tire destruction under hard (racing) conditions. When you have to think about tire pressure, your camber/toe/caster, proper braking and etc.
Odds are this is for SFX/VFX usage in film, as beamng has some promising tech for that kind of industry
the fact they want to use BeamNG for vehicle animation in movies is sick. I always find it odd how some movies have terribly animated cars that make no sense physics-wise
from Nadeox's imgur Looks like remastered taillights, rear windscreen textures with a new defroster pattern, and maybe a slightly different interior design? New interior color (perhaps a replacement for the TTsport's red? I hope that's not the case, as I love the more faded red the ttsport currently has, so adding this new red as a separate option would be nice ) Model looks largely unchanged, but the grille has been remade (I think) with thinner spokes in either some reflective black material (piano black?), or in new much more reflective chrome texture that's simply reflecting the dark tones of the room. The new headlight textures are especially impressive, with what looks like glare on the glass lens itself, though that's likely baked on. Also, they fixed the weird lighting through sunroofs!
Well we can take this as a small teaser Also, i don't know if it's the angle, but isn't the car a bit wider/lower?
Yes, it's lower but that can be achieved with suspension components already available for the car. Idk about it being wider, to me it looks the same, the body was very good looking so a change wasn't needed. But i really hope they improved the interior, can't see for sure only from these pics
Great observations! Tbh, along with their interior remastering, I think the modern ETKs also need some sportier and more heavily bolstered front seats. They're certainly gonna need them for their high performance versions (or just for some poverty-spec ttSport-pack variants that may appear)! I also noticed the multi-colour light saber prop and I hope it enters the game sometime as it can really help with photographing. I first noticed it in the Dunekicker YT video and got slightly disappointed it wasn't included (but only slightly, as the content of the 0.27 Update more than made up for it)!
Yeah, the turn signals/hazard lights seem to have a clear-glass bezel now, which might indicate that either A) there will also be a facelifted version or B) we see an EU-spec version and the existing ones with the red bezel will be part of the USDM variants.
I'm not sure about this but I think euro car manufacturers don't change indicator colours to red if it's already orange (someone please confirm that)
Mercedes certainly does change the amber rear flashers to red ones. BMW doesn't do that but Mercedes certainly does.
Nadeox1 is part of the BeamNG team, Imgur is just a photo and video sharing site --- Post updated --- Actually they do, I saw a USDM 7-Series in Milan some time ago, it didn't have amber indicators
I looked up nadeox1 and nadeox on imgur and nothing comes up, do they have some sort of private account or something? (Sorry i've never used imgur). Also now that you mention it, what does a non usdm 7 series taillight look like? ive never seen one since im in the US.
