Openable doors breaks beamstate loading for vehicles that have them. After loading a beamstate the hood latch stops working, doors and other panels won't close, scintilla still crashes the game if you load a beamstate then close doors (0xC0000374 - STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION). I've reported this in 0.26 and made a video showing the issue, I know it's a less commonly used feature but it's still part of the radial menu and this also totally breaks my mod so hopefully this can be fixed soon.

 

The ESC on the etk800 seems a bit broken, almost like it's acting after a delay. See the video above, where the car suddenly slams on the brakes to the point of locking up the front wheels, only after straightening out and exiting the corner. Unsettling the vehicle by going over the curbs causes this phenomena to happen much more often, and it's quite jarring. To be clear, at no point during or after the corner am I braking: it's all the esc.

Also the esc seems to allow one or even two wheel burnouts if you hold the brake and throttle down.

 

Could we please have the option to have the old clutch system? I don't want clutch assist on but it's very hard to undo 3000+ hours of muscle memory...

Things i noticed:

ETK 800 needles have wrong angle and clip through the dash


Strange looking texture on the glass


Rear defrost lines are too abrupt looking


Parts menu was easier to use before (as Muye said in his video too)


Steering wheel stitches are too big, like aftermarket steering wheel cover from ebay

 

While not as big as the 0.27 update a few months ago, version 0.28 is a welcome update to the 800 Series, K-Series, and the Automation Test Track. The ETKs aren't exactly 100% remastered, but at least both got a refresh to remain relevant with the rest of the newly added vehicles. Likewise, the Automation Test Track is a bit more modernized overall.

It's been mentioned a couple of times, but the gauge needles on the remastered 800 Series clip with the gauge cluster (left). This is the reason why it appears "shorter" at certain rotation angles. The remastered K-Series doesn't have that problem however (right).


Another gripe that I have, albeit a minor one, are the ttSport taillights. They are only available with amber turn signals for the European market. I'd actually like to see US-spec ttSport taillights with the red turn signals, maybe even with the dual functionality of brake lights and turn signals that I have been seeing on many German vehicles made for the North American market.


Finally, the descriptions for many configurations on the 800 Series (possibly extends to a few other vehicles such as the H-Series) aren't consistent with each other in terms of capitalizing certain words (a few examples shown below). Again, it's a minor complaint that I have, but they could be revised a bit so that the wording flows better.


I do appreciate the developers taking the time to go through much of the feedback that we are providing. We're not looking for a perfect release, but at least it's in a playable state for us to provide our overall experiences with the latest update

 

For those who don't know how to actually use the clutch system, you have to hold the clutch before you shift and let go of the clutch after the car gets in gear (make sure it is not in "n")

 

The guy litterally said "1980s and newer"

 

I'm not so sure this is intentional but for Windows 7/8.x users... it's not good
Time to upgrade.

also kept having issues with scenario loading times taking aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages despite having like, 5 mods, and sometimes it never loaded it all. not sure why

 

Don't know if it's the intended behaviour but the text fields became very big when entering in an "color range" if we can call this like that

 

Where is this interesting car from?

 

Can there be option to NOT disable all my active mods? I'm aware they can be broken, but it's my decision to try if they work. Button to enable all is not helpful at all, because it enabled ALL subscribed mods, NOT those that were active.

Also, can confirm that engine thermal debug looks weird when temp raises.

 

Loving the update for the ETK 800!!!! Not sure why there is still no torque vectoring. Editing the jbeams, torque vectoring seems to work just find, not sure why its still left out. It would make a lot of sense for the AWD versions as BMW's AWD system uses torque vectoring in the back with there sport diffs.

Found an issue with the ignition.
Doesn't matter how long you run the starter, the car will start.
Even if it's an 1/8 of a second.
