I've got some really weird feedback on the GUI issue. Back when I didn't have my GPU (I was on the HD4600 iGPU) about a week ago I was getting playable framerates. Yesterday with my 7970 I was getting good framerates. Today my 7970 died again and I got horrid framerates (~20 fps) Turns out the GUI was messing with my CPU since pressing "J" helped, but the only thing that has changed was the GPU. I even upped the clock speed to 4.0 from 3.9.

Yes, this is probably the world's stupidest question and the answer is probably obvious, but I can't find it. When I get to the betas window it asks me for a code and I have no clue what that code is. Please help me out, and please don't treat me like an idiot, even though this is most likely easy. Thanks =)

You don't need no code, just select beta exit the settings and it will download the experimental.

You don't have to type one in. Leave the box empty and hit check code, close the window, and it'll start downloading.

    Edit: sheeeeit

Does someone know whether the following is a experimental version bug or something I can fix:

I've added rear doors to my D15 mod. They are modded van doors, and they still use the 'van' material and the corresponding maps. The problem is they won't change color like the rest of the vehicle.
I already copied the texture and UV maps to it's own folder (and changed the materials.cs) but there's no change. In the materials.cs file, all values of the van material are equal to the pickup material values.

I did delete the cache folder every time before I tried. In earlier BeamNG versions it works fine

As far as i understood that, the material of the meshes is still "van" and "van" material is still a "van" material
The d15 is only made to change diffuse color on "pickup", and not "van". I guess you need to add a line somewhere in the .materials or .jbeam to make the game change diffuse colour on "van" as well as "pickup". Or you could reUV the tailgate and add it into the "pikcup" texture.

I guess you will have to ask gabe about that.

Like I said, somehow it works fine in older versions...

And, the other way around it works fine as well  (the sunvisor is 'pickup' material)

I tried putting the 'van' material.cs file in my pickup mod folder, but it has the same results somehow. (I added the pickup material to this file)

so here is what i found with this version.
on first loading a map i get the occasional stutter, maybe stops for a split second every 5-10 seconds. after maybe a minute it suddenly starts running really nice, much better framerate than the normal version.
about 50% of the time the game will just freeze for no obvious reason, then either close itself or i have to end task.

apart from that it seems pretty good

    EXPERIMENTAL BUILD
    screenshot_00071.jpg screenshot_00072.jpg
    STABLE BUILD

Welp...been trying to figure this out. Reverted back to Experimental and did multiple fresh downloads and local file updates. Deleted the entire GridMap
level multiple times so file would update. Steam update doesn't acknowledge a file is missing it just replaces it without any notification that a file was
corrupt/missing (stable build indicates it's replacing a file). Now, the problem above seems to associate with Ouerbackers Blackhills map in that they both have
the exact same terrain material issue. I've re-downloaded Blackhills a thousand times as well. This was one of the reasons I went back to the stable build.
There's a material bug in there feasting away and I wanna squash the little fucker.

I'm confused a bit by "deleting the cache". Delete what and how exactly?

    Documents\beamng.drive\cache

Delete the cache for the levels that are glitching out (each vehicle & level get there own personal folder, delete the folders for the levels having broken textures)

Sent from the 3rd galaxy via the talks of tapping

Thanks logoster, I'll check it out. Seen this mentioned but I was fearful of screwing up everything else.:p

EDIT: I'm not seeing these cache files for the levels, just the usual level info, no cache files. Remember looking for these awhile back
on a different issue, no luck then either.
