Because don't lol I never said this was gonna become a mod, and even if it was, how would I know how long Jbeam takes, it takes as long as it takes. That's the answer.
I only asked to set the record straight so that others wouldn't get their hopes up too much, especially seeing as how there were a few who asked the same and got ignored. Now I can set this aside as being completely irrelevant to me.
wow its looking really good!! model progress is great! but reading this im wondering... need help with the jbeam lol? could do something similar to the oldfullsize mod which used the moonhawk jbeam as a starting point. not tryina rush things, but trying to suggest a beginning at least. it would be a shame doing all this awesome model work, to just abandon the jbeam. take all the time you need with it too, there is so much to learn with beamng. ive been working on a mod on and off for like 5 years now lol... and im still learning and still working on it lol. it could literally be endless depending on what level of quality is acceptable for you. also, i swear i looked all over the web for old ror mods and i could not for the life of me find the old ror grand marquis. i did dig deep enough to find my old ror mods folder which is huge for ror lol.. now i just need to search thru it and see if i still have that old grand marquis mod somewhere... this version of the grand marquis is mint tho. so much better in every way. i know modding takes time but i sure hope you dont give up on such a nice car. ignore the kiddies that just wants to rush, and just do your thing. from the looks of it, it is a really awesome quality model. keep up the good work! but dont forget about yourself. we all got a life. and modding isnt a priority.
Thank you for the kind words, I am more inclined to provide you an explanation. Basically this model is for practice, I want to keep making car models until eventually I start getting them into game. I also want to create a tutorial at some point but in order to do that I need to understand the subject myself. If you wanted to have a go at jbeaming one of my models then I'll keep that in mind for when I start going full detail with trunk and engine and everything. This one is almost complete but does not contain neither of those things, it's just for randers and animations. The ultimate goal though is to make a fully functional BeamNG car mod at the end of this. May take years or less.
ahh yes that makes a lot more sense now that i fully understand. thanks for being open about it. its an awesome looking old car and idk why it has always picked my interest lol. i wish you the best of luck with your future project. the models themselves looks very promising.
Thank you, I really appreciate it. --- Post updated --- Starting to add the finishing touches, see if you can spot the details!
