PLEASE keep that front-end design! I absolutely LOVE it. Reminds me of a Chevelle, one of my favourite cars.

Thanks, it's great to be back :)
The grille design will likely stay yes, pretty happy with it (sans for adding in extra detail perhaps), though I'm not really happy with the corner lights so they will probably be changed again

The rear fascia also needs a bit more detail, looking a bit too bland atm

I should probably mention I will have a few grilles and such to choose from, this one will be the performance grille, in addition there will be a choice of single 7inch or twin 5inch sealed beam headlights. singles will be standard with twins an option on luxury and performance models:)

In addition I will also have 1 or 2 facelifts, each with subtle design differences in the grille and rear lights;)

Finally, a cool little factoid, have you ever noticed how older (late 60s-early 70s) Australian vehicles lack clear reverse lights?

For whatever reason it appears that clear reversing lights were not mandatory, instead, the turn signals actually double as the reverse lights:eek:
you can see at about 8:25 in this video

So yeah I will redesign the Hawk to work like this as well
Of course unlike America we do still have some common sense and so amber rear indicators are still mandatory;);):p

maybe there should be an inspiration from the valiant charger R/T E49 With 6 cylinder harnessing a BANK load of power (302) in the chrysler's case

cool idea, but maybe for another later project;);)
Simalar to the Barstow the inline 6 engines will be mostly for lower trim models, with the performance models recieving V8s

anyways redid the corner lights, a bit happier with this design

    I have a few ideas
1.Maybe give it a spongy soft suspension
    2.A slow land boat config

Honestly, I like it better how it is now. Still has that sweet Chevelle look but feels more separated from it giving it its own identity. Very nice!

Will there be a stock car config? I feel like that would be my most driven config. If not, I could always make it myself, but I'd prefer it out of the box. Also, will it have openable doors (and a working shifter)?

The lower spec (and luxury) models will have very soft suspension and handle like cheese yes, though Australian car stend to be a bit lighter and smaller than true American b a r g e s
Speaking of which I may also do a longer wheelbase sedan, similar to a Fairlane or Premier, for the full luxury experience.
I could do a stock car, while there was no real stock car scene in Australia (aside from the later, brief AUSCAR deal) I may do a homemade stockcar of sorts
    something like this could work

and yeah manual shift animations already work, still have to update the jbeam to support opening parts

Quick modeling update, continued tweaking the design, pretty happy at this point so I think this will be final, aside for maybe small design changes and topology improvement ect..:)

Also redid all of the panel gaps properly this time ;)
This I think will be the 69-70 RS model, the 71-72 will recieve a different grille with split center, as well as taillights with the indicator in the center. not sure what I will do for the 67-68 yet.
and of course the rear indicators are now dual channel that also function as reverse lights

Next I will probably work on the greenhouse trim/glass, and then maybe a bit of interior or engine bay:)

also the panel gaps turned out to be a bit too big, now fixed

After ten long years, we finally get something Australian.

As an aussie Falcon owner, this looks spot on! Side profile is distinctly XW-XY and the Cortina grille looks great. Rear bumper does look a bit thicc to me, imo. Also, how many body styles are you planning? As the Falcon did it all including factory cab-chassis and even ambulances.

Watching this one fore sure, keep up the great work!

this maybe a dumb question but could there be an option to swap in a barstow or bluebuck dash and pedals for a redneck lhd version

As for bodystyles as it says in the OP there will be a wagon, and coupe utility/panel van in addition to this sedan:) May also do a 2 door coupe, similar to the American falcon that we never got in aus

As for the other more obscure stuff like the 4x4 and ambulances might do them after the initial release, otherwise itll never be done lol
Probably not, though I may do an American market Hawk at some point
yeah probably will go for a mix of XR and American Falcon

Also for anyone wondering here is how it compares sise wise to a Barstow

    Rear bumper looks mint now!

I was thinking the same thing. Because us Aussies didn't get it, maybe the coupe body be a USDM with lhd and Barstow interior?
