I'll probaby draw up an example brochure to show what I mean. The biggest hurdle is making each brochure feel realistic for each car, but they could easily be based off of real brochures
These brochure-like UI you're talking about would work well in an eventual career mode showroom... but personally for freeroam i'd rather keep a simpler UI, just to keep it easy to use
this would be a pain to quickly select a vehicle but at the same time i cannot imagine anything cooler
Ideally you would be able to select just a trim level, and the current ui would probably make sense for "aftermarket" configs.
Exactly what i meant, in freeroam, where you can change cars fairly often, the current UI is way better, but im career mode, where you can take your time to buy a new car, the brochure UI would be amazing
The brochure stuff isn't necessary, it's just extra You could still select a trim level and drive it without any customization --- Post updated --- Let's say this is the Sunburst's "brochure"- Double clicking the trim levels on the left would let you spawn that config with no customization, just like how double clicking a config spawns it now. And keep in mind it wouldn't be a big brochure, everything would fit on one or two pages.
Beamng will probably never have parts swappable between different vehicles, like replacing a dented door with an undamaged one from another car. SLRR is a 20 year old game and it has that
I really hope they fix the ETK turn signal stock going back and forth and the gauges and screens clipping through on the dashboard
Goofy ahh torque curve For comparison this one is from the old engine And this from the other new one, still a bit messed up but not that much
