So it seems like half of people trying to buy this can’t get gumroad to work, and no one has gotten any helpful answers. Not everyone has a credit card or paypal, and for some reason gum road is not accepting debit cards despite their own website saying that they take debit. Seems to mostly happen to people from the US but as you see in the posts I quoted, also happening in Russia and the Netherlands. So I’m pretty sure the US and Russia are the two largest markets for beam mods so the fact that most people from these countries can’t get the mod is probably a sizeable loss of potential sales. It’s a bit upsetting that we are genuinely interested in this mod and supporting @LucasBE but can’t get it due to payment issues with gumroad not taking debit payment. Kofi site didn’t have these issues and wasn’t so picky about payment methods. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.
It's an extremely high quality mod. Problem is, it's boring. Unlike the picnic that kept me building, rebuilding, refining configs, racing it around, this has nothing. Options sell mods and there's so much that could've been done with this. I'm gonna wait for the next one.
I have made a small video showcasing my upcoming skin pack for this car. For the first time ever I used the in-game camera path tool, so some parts may seem a bit shaky.
I wasn't sure whether I'd buy it as it isn't my type of vehicle. At least, I thought that until I bought it. For a van, it's quite nimble and very fun to drive. Only complaints I have is that there's no imperial gauges and the bloom on the shattered windshield wis much too high. Other than that, I absolutely love it. It's my new shop van now. (Factory colors are not the best to be honest, but I can always just use my own).
I used a debit card absolutely fine, might be country specific? Ko-Fi was dropped as it didn't have any way to send out updates, iirc.
Seems so, since your profiled says you’re from Australia but my point still stands cause I think it’s bull that gumroad won’t accept US debit cards
I'm not the dev so idk. I cant even get the mod because I'm in the US. --- Post updated --- Hint: Look at my profile picture. --- Post updated --- The reason why I cant buy it is because I'm in the US, the dev should expand to all country, or find something that will do all. Thanks for posting this btw, hope the dev will figure out why everyone is so upset. --- Post updated --- The reason why I cant buy it is because I'm in the US, the dev should expand to all country, or find something that will do all. Thanks fo I would think that patron would be the only last option, the issue being is I hate doing memberships.
PayPal will tack on a 4% currency conversion fee to the total cost, regardless of the linked payment option. That's the only additional cost of using the service to pay for the Scout. But regardless, it's up to you to decide how you pay for it.
Slight edit in the jbeam made it like the most new vw that have their gauge all the time on without turnig the light on (sad it didn't come with a virtual cockpit on the high trim level)
Hey Lucas, I like your scout a lot. You did a step up again and showed us again how a beam lore mod should be done. (even when its payed wich is very sad for multiplayer user) There are very few issues I have found so far exept the already known ones. To make it even better, it would be nice if the door locks were significantly stronger as your Gavril Scout shares the same problem as the vanilla BeamNG cars. The doors pop open far too easily . In modern cars, the doors have to stay closed in case of an accident. They usually bend with the structure and jam rather than pop open because they are part of the survival cells structural integrity. Also,if you are interested, I have an idea for a low end 150d diesel and a more realistic 140i version. Make the 1.6l engine of the 140i an N/A engine. That would justify its low power output and also make it desirable for small companies that run a lot of miles with low maintenance, as without a turbo it would be a real reliable Miles/KM runner. Also, the missing turbo makes it even cheaper to manufacture. Also, for the diesel, a cheap 1.5l d with 90 hp or so would also be feasible as they could just use the 1.6l gas engine and put bigger zylinders in it to convert it to a diesel with around. Well, it would still be more expensive than the 140i as it still requires a trubo and a new zylinder but at least uses an already manufactured block and doesn't need an intercooler. The output of just 80 or 90hp as diesel should still be manageable for a converted 1.6 gas engine block (it could also serve as a story that this one is the unreliable one because Gavril tried to cheapen out too much on the wrong bits for a 170d,180d or something like that ) Also i would remove the intercooler from the 250d aswell (to cheapen that one for its class correctly) as a entry 2.0l diesel with just 123hp same with the 220i model as it doesnt need that one either What do ya think ?
