after 15 hours of work on my map i wanted to convert to pbr i use texture of eastcoast that works a litle bit only the hightmap i have none how do i make them for texture coloring? Also i have a glitch of theforest layer when i go up i see glitch beams in the sky
9 hours in and i have decent grass is there a way to make life easy for texturing color in the terein base png? for rocks hight etc
This has happened to me before, after deleting a few places rocks, I deleted them and decided I didn’t actually want them gone. After hitting ctrl-z to revert them back they disappeared along with other ones around it. Causing my skybox to glitch. Never figured it out --- Post updated --- And for this, everything you paint down for terrain can be exported, hit export terrain and select the export file path, you have to select theTerrain in the window or it will say no terrain selected. Then export and you find everything you have painted down in what you exported, so if you want dirt you will find the dirt image and open this in paint.net along with the base map image. You’ll use the wand to select the white painted part in the dirt image. Then copy and paste it over your base map image. It should place exactly where it needs to be. Then just find a color you want to use for dirt and paint the white part you just pasted. Save and go to terrain materiel editor in the editor and select dirt. Hit save changes in that window and it should update the base map. You can leave the editor open while doing all of this.
I have written some personal conclusions on the base map texturing stuff in that thread. Might help you. https://www.beamng.com/threads/base-texture-t_terrain_base_b-not-working.91044/#post-1565216 at the moment I use a one color png for every terrain type just for painting in the world editor. If I’m happy with my map I will do the workflow explained in the linked thread to finalize the terrain textures.
