very excited about the people carrier - ive grown up with a few so ive always loved them. very practical cars really, dead economical, fits plenty of people and can become a van when you need one - genuinely a more useful vehicle than most estate cars. super excited
Prewar car Rotary 1970s compact Hirochi coupe utility (subaru brat) Modern fullsize suv Modern ibishu Korean car Swedish car Cheap modern latin american gavril Australian car
I only paid £15.19 (18.94 dollars) for my copy back in 2019. Now that was one hell of a Christmas present.
This. This needs to be done. As the minivan. --- Post updated --- This is just false, completely different things. If it gets the 4WS and AWD I'm hoping for or an F1 powered version, it'll become my main car. Even if not, I'll still use it, it'll look awesome in traffic, and it's much more useful than the wigeon.
the community wants missing body types to be added (a minivan) + the community doesnt want generic supercars or whatever u want + WHO PAID 30 USD FOR BEAM??
In that case, I can only really imagine the earlier models of the Kia Carens as the new minivan. That may just be because I had one and I loved it to death, but it would still fit the MPV criteria pretty nicely. Waking up to see a car like that in BeamNG would just be a dream come true for myself and other Carens owners/ex-owners. Shown above: 2000-2006 Shown below: 2007-2011
That, but with the classic minivan doors, 4WS, AWD would make an absolute beast (although it would benefit from better styling, as it currently looks like a melted stick of butter)
Issue is people hate the widgeon cause its a car for only one real purpose: dicking around with. it has no other uses and it cant even be used in traffic since it looks stupid. the minivan can be used in traffic and scenarios with plenty more usecases than the widgeon. What would your ideal vehicle addition be?
Exactly. Right on the money there. Probably one of these. (below) --- Post updated --- I mean, you could say the same thing about this as a minivan - Slow, boring, a to b without much enjoyment, brown. but since we already have the compact body style and not the minivan body style, it would be better to add a minivan.
Wigeon unironically has more usecases than prewar car, I read somewhere the burnside was the least used vehicle simply due to its age in comparison to other vehicles making it stick out like a sore thumb in any races/traffic/whatnot. cant imagine a prewar car would fit in any more than that. As for modern fullsize SUV, thats basically a minivan but with no sliding door and 2 more inches of ground clearance. Don't know why they got suck an ick to minivans but hey to each their own their opinion wont kill me
Burnside is in need of a revamp or some additions, it doesn't have much to it. Prewar cars would have more use that the wigeon, it COULD be used in traffic, just be rarer as the Scintilla would be. The Wigeon can't be at all. TBH, I think wigeon is more useless than prewar cars, as they can be used in prewar style races/ old stockcar races, classic police chases, traffic from the past (old cars only), cruising, and drag racing. The Wigeon is just a screw-around funny car.
I mean, that's just not really true... A 1930's American coupe would offer an incredible amount of content as far as car culture and vintage racing goes... In terms of those two categories this would be one of the most important additions the team could go for. And that's not even discussing use cases of the body as a donor for something like a modified or Legends racer (entry level one design racing is another huge omission in the game right now)
I would choose a pre-war car over the Wigeon. However if the Wigeon was removed from the game, it would be so much wasted effort since it must have been a nightmare to Jbeam something like that to be stable, probably almost as hard as the Scintilla. I know this is a complete 180 compared to what I said when it was released initially, disregard that old statement, I didn't have as much experience with ultra lightweight Jbeams and fiberglass simulation in game. (Also I have a theory that the Wigeon was a test bed for the openable doors system since it used couplers and gas struts even before they were added to the Covet, and the whole openable system seems to date back to YEARS before the Covet remaster, I guess it was released so late because it must have been ultra tricky to figure out correct values to set in the Jbeam)
Why would you even think about removing the Wigeon? Every car is a welcome addition. I don‘t use it much but sometimes, when I feel like driving on the trails in Utah with something funny I’m happy that the Wigeon exists
I love the Wigeon and I use it a lot. It is a very interesting concept of a car and one could improve its potential significantly with a bit more love.
Oh and i just remembered the cool way of opening up the Wigeon‘s top! Just for that I already like it
