I think I'll make a freeway that's a bit endless, basically it'll go around the island. I just thought why not make the map as an extension to Italy?
I don't think making it as an extension to Italy is a good idea; this will really impact performance and result in a large file size with redundant content. It is likely that portals will be implemented when the Career Mode is more developed, so you could designate a road at the edge of the France map that would teleport your car to Italy if you drove on it.
