I really want to get this simulator, but I will not use ffastspring as it is un secure and I do not have PayPal. So when is this finally going to be available for purchase on steam?
if it's because it doesn't default to https: https://sites.fastspring.com/beamng/product/alpha all you had to do was add the "s" to the end of http to get the secure version of the page
the only way you'll get an answer is if the devs answer, as WE DON'T KNOW FOR SURE according to the steam page, it's Q1 2015, but thats all that youll get from the community, if thats not what you wanted, then you'll have to hope a dev reply's, otherwise your out of luck until an official announcement comes out and that IS a reply, you complained about it not being a secure page, i gave you a link to the secure page (not that it's really all that secure from things such as the NSA)
Well, then I must buy it using fastspring. Steam is kinda bad for early access developers because valve takes 20% of the money. (Not to mention early access is being abused quite a lot)
Space Base DF-9 is a good example. The devs just gave up on it for no reason and called it finished. Planetary Annihilation also very suddenly stopped development of the game and called it finished.
I meant "hell yes steam early access is being abused" with KSP and PA being 2 examples of games that are using early access correctly rather than abusing it. Spacebase DF9 is just awful and completely fraudulent, mega abuse I concur. Planetary Annihilation, I don't know what is going on there so have no comment on the matter.
Planetary annihilation is a incredibly potent game that stole my money. I paid 40something dollars on the beta, then suddenly they declared it finished, released it for half the price, stopped development AND STARTED A NEW RIP OFF GAME. I bet uber entertainment will use this scamming technique for quite a while. And I misread your previous comment, sorry
