Was 0.28 underwelming?

I feel like 0.28 is overrated. Sure, the ability to open doors on all cars is nice, but 2 car remasters and 1 map remaster? not even one new car

 

Eh, usually they have 1-2 updates like this, and 1-2 updates with a new car.

 

its a solid update. not every update needs to be spectacular. The etk refresh was nice to see. the only thing that disappoints me is that you can no longer do a slipstream affect using tailgates. you cant open or close tailgates using o anymore

 

I wonder what they're planning for that one other ETK, thing's ancient at this point.

 

The interior of the I-Series reminds me of BeamNG in 2017.

yeah, its interior still uses the old specular based materials, a lot of the older cars that haven't been properly remastered still don't make full use of PBR (Sunburst is another good example), at a minimum these cars seem to just have their main/paint material updated to utilize PBR and metallic paint effects, with other materials such as lights and interior still using older materials and textures

I think in the very old versions of the game back in 2014 to 2015, the bloom on the headlights looked better than how it is right now. If you have seen the Muye video about it, you know what im talking about. They need to bring it back. Also underwater effect in those versions was better in my opinion, like stretching around and stuff

 

I like the additions made to the Etks but I've never really been a fan of the test track. I only go there for the sports race that was added in 0.28. But hey, small updates are good every once in awhile. I'd rather get smaller updates every 3 months than big updates every 6 months. However, Beamng is turning 10 this year, so I think there should be a decent sized update to celebrate that. Perhaps that may be what the Gambler update sets out to be. Only time will tell I guess.

 

It's fine, actually. The ability to open doors on all cars is genius IMO, and the ETKs are finally bearable to drive a lot more.

 

HELL no. Who does not want a V8 German sedan? ( i have a W211 E240 W203 C180 ) am a german car Guy. so it was bigger ( to me ) then ) 0.27 was
