I've been trying to work with the hotlapping tool because in my mind it is nearly unusable. What I'll do is I'll do my lap, setting the checkpoints every so often, and when I've completed my lap I speed past the finish line to finish the hotlapping, and then reset my vehicle to go back to the start, then all my progress will be lost! Then I try to redo my lap and plot the checkpoints again and it will assume I have started a race all by myself? Then I have to re-load the map to do any hotlapping again! Not to mention saving my hotlap with a name, only for it to think I'm typing that into the actual game (e.g. if I wanted to save my hotlap as 'Jeremy Hotlap' It would pause the game when I type 'J', reset my car when I type 'r', open the map when I type 'm', etc.) and this occurs with all UI apps on the game to be fair.

Anyway, sorry if this was confusing to read or if I'm just supid, it happens a lot with me, but is anyone else having this problem?

Hi. Sorry about the late reply, I've been away.

When you reset back to the start, you should be able to click on "Skip Lap" to refresh the checkpoints. Does this work?

For the naming, it seems that you have to hold down your mouse button on the input field to properly type in it. I agree that it's annoying behavior; I'll see if it can be improved, but it is a consequence of the method we use for the UI.

OK, I should probably pay attention more. Sorry for this waste of time, your advice worked!
