They were hoping for 0.27, and 0.28 was dry af, so I’m sure they were working on it half the time they were working on 0.28

 

they’ve been working on a ton of things for a long long time.. most of them didn’t came to fruition like peds, airbags iirc, tire thermals and the likes. An example would be the map feature for fast travelling in a vid that came out in dec 2016, and only 5 years later could it be fully accomplished. I don’t have any expectations for tire thermals to come for 0.29 or 0.30 etc. when it does, it does. so might as well wait and keep yourselves distracted

I believe thats what they were planning for initially since devs would attempt to not deviate from their own youtube video and would not deliberately revamp that entire idea
