NOTE TO ALL: I have just released another update for the Moonhawk Sedan Mod Addon Pack, it optimises .jbeams for the skins, as well as fixes an issue where the Pursuit and the Interceptor liveries shared officer names.
As I wait for 0.4 update to be approved, I've decided to create another addon pack, this time for the 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Hardtop mod. So my Australian based pack will finally be on an Australian car! I've gotten the lightbars on it, next I'll do the skins and configs.
mca0004 updated Main Force Patrol Mega Pack with a new update entry: Third update, 4 cars added! Read the rest of this update entry... --- Post updated --- The modifactions I made to the Ford Falcon mod have stopped working. I don't know what's happened, and unless I can get it fixed, we might not be getting it after all...
Shame to hear that your modifications stopped working, especially since I would've asked about the XB GT being included had I not spent the past week in London away from my PC. Hope you can figure out what's wrong with it. If not, I certainly wouldn't mind sharing my version of the mod. I had to tweak some of the files via instructions on the thread and got it working perfectly fine, someone even included the Interceptor's iconic front fascia and supercharger. If it would help resolve any issues, I can send you the zip I have. I'm probably the only other guy here who's just as passionate about this project as you are and this big a fan of the first Mad Max. I only wish I knew how to make custom parts & skins to help.
Thank you, you have already been a great help to this project! Your always submitting bug reports each time an update drops, and that is really helpful, as I will miss stuff and mess up due to how I develop my mods. The issue I’m having with the Falcon is I’ve had to modify one of the mod’s .jbeam files to give it a “Roof Accessory” slot, so I can give it the lightbars. But for some reason, the slot is no longer appearing on the car. I’m going to speak to some expert about this and see if I can’t fix it.
Okey, I've gotten the lightbars working on the Falcon again, the problem is with the dashboard beacon. I really want to get that to work, so I'm going to see what I can do.
Guess who's gotten the dashboard beacon to work on the Falcon? All it needs is the Interceptor livery and we'd have ourselves a movie car! I need to make the other liveries and configs first though.
Glad to see the Falcon is finished, though the only roof mod accessory that's working on my end is the dashboard one
Okay I'm a little stumped on the Falcon installation. Where exactly are you getting the XBGT_Body file when the mod is already unpacked? EDIT: Nvm lol
NOTE TO ALL: I have just released an update for the Ford Falcon addon that should fix the issue with the lightbars not appearing. I hope you can enjoy it now that it's working properly!
Well despite going through the process of copying the jbeam files to the original XBGT mod several times, I still can't get any roof lights to show up. Not sure why, it could very well be a problem on my end, but your guess is as good as mine.
Shoot, I’ll have to look into this more. I thought I had fixed it, but it seems I haven’t. I’m sorry about this
It's fine. With how many mods I have running at once, I'm surprised this is one of the larger issues I've had getting something to work lol
I've attached a file to this post, it's just the file you place right into the mods folder, could you install it, and see if it fixes it? Don't mess with the Falcon .jbeams, those should be working it was this file that was the issue. Also, could you try clearing your cache after install before launching the game? Just to see if that works. How you clear cache is by laucnhing Beam, but instead of pressing "Launch game" in the little window that pops up, press "Support tools". Then, another window will pop up, press "Clear cache". Then, one finaly window will pop up, where you press "Standard cache cleaning". After that's done, open the game for real and see if it's fixed it. I also apologise if you already knew how to clear cache, as that whole paragraph will be pointless, but better to be safe then sorry!
It's kinda easy to overlook, but did you also replace the mod itself? The mod that also comes with the JBeam files
