Just a quick idea. In real life when driving automatic cars the car downshifts on downhill for it to engine brake more, this usually happens on more steeper hills, but I have tested this in the game and nothing happens. There's a video of this happening in real life. And yes, I've driven plenty of cars where this kind of behavior is usual.
in video games, this behavior may or may not be simplified. Game developers may not include such a feature in the game, or may simplify it for the players' convenience.
