I also tried a 10 AT, and it wasn't that good. 8 speed is more than enough. If you know how to play with jbeam and stuff, you can port the Bastion 8 AT from this pack to the Pickup. It will, for sure, be good enough
I can do it. Since the Lansdale is considerably newer than the LeGran/Wendover, I don't think a 3 speed automatic would make sense. A 6 speed auto, maybe with sport and "tiptronic" would be fitting on your opinion? Which gear ratios shoukd I use? Sunburst's?
I´d just love to have the standard 4-spd auto transmissions from the Landsdale with this mods shiftlogics but your idea would be a really cool extra tranny! If you wanna do that would be very nice!
You can achieve smoother shifts trough variety of jbeam parameters for the gearbox and torque converter, simply adding a delay won't be enough. Also in beamng the needles represent true values and move instantly as opposed to real tacho needles in cars where they have smoothing
@default0.0player Are you still updating this or can this be considered abandoned? Hope you dont mind the question.
yep i agree with this comment. i personally just want something similar to the transmission in maybe the 5 speed automatic thats in the pessimas. except maybe faster shifts since its a newer vehicle
Well, These are the 4ATs from the Legran adapted to the Lansdale. I noticed that the Lansdale's 4AT has different ratios from the 4AT on the Legran and Wendover (it has slightly longer gears than its older platform brothers), but, the 3AT has the exact same 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear ratios from the Legran's/Wendover's 4AT, so I kept the shorter ratios from the Legran. In order to work, you'll have to unpack the mod, create a folder called "lansdale" on the vehicle folder, and drop the file inside it.
Thanks! Lets hope the mod author will make a proper update someday but from the lack of communication i dont think this will happen anytime soon so thank you for the files. Maybe you can try and work out the proper gear ratios for the modded Landsdale Transmissions in the future but its great to have any transmissions that work at all so thanks again.
About the gear ratios, I have no idea why the vanilla Lansdale has different gear ratios than the Legran, specially considering how small the difference really is. I'll probably make a variant with the lansdale ratios sonyou can test each set and decide which is better (Legran vs Lansdale)
Well if you dont think the difference is big enough to justify making another version please dont do it. Im more than grateful that you made transmissions for it. Only other thing i could imagine worth taking a look is the seperate Diesel Automatic. Maybe its worth working on this one since its specifically for the Diesel Engines.
That's because it's based on the Chrysler A604 transmission whereas the LeGran is based on the GM 4T60. They are close but, I do appreciate the attention to detail.
The thing that didn't made sense to me is the fact that the 3AT are the same between the two. Only the 4AT is different The Diesel automatic is so closer to the petrol version that I didn't see the need to adapt it, specially because the Lansdale gasoline engines rev almost as low as the Diesel. Anyway, I'll make the gear ratios a slot inside the transmission for the Lansdale, so you can choose which gearing fits the best --- Post updated --- Now the gear ratios are an option inside the transmissions, so you can choose between the Legran/Wendover gearing or the Lansdale gearing
Understood. No need to put work into the separate Diesel Autos if they are almost the same. Thx for putting the Gear Ratio slot in i will give it a whirl once its done. EDIT: Thanks for the file i will test it out and give feedback.
--- Post updated --- Another thing i´ve noticed is that the Covet 4-spd and 5-spd automatics stopped working. the car wont move in any direction it just revs up a bit and shifts through gears but will not move. Maybe you can take a look. tested it of course with just the shiftlogics mod and cleared cache to be sure.
