Hey! So I took the well liked mod from @TrackpadUser and... updated it, and I feel it's finished enopugh for a release: View attachment 1031781 Basically my goal was to make the car look more like a Formula Ford/Vee.(Yes I know the modeling is kinda rough in a few places, but I wasn't planning on this mod being insanely high quality lol) View attachment 1031784 The main things changed are the vertical proportions, and the body panels(also sidepods because the inner adrian newey in me told me to do it). The Jbeam remains somewhat untouched, as moving the hood nodes down caused the part to misbehave, however, the sidepods, air intake, and legthened front nosecone have their respective Jbeams. In total there are 4 configs: Classic Regional National Super Bee Just like the original mod. There are a few small problems: as I said the modeling isn't the best in some places, plus the cameras are a bit misplaced, but this can be fixed by positioning the "relative" camera(by pressing 4 on your keyboard) into place, as the orbit camera goes to the regular position when driving and the hood camera remains unaffected. The biggest problem: At the moment the car overrides the original Formula Bee files, so this mod and the original CANNOT co-exist, I am working to fix this. But other than that, enjoy lads! Some *very* big bugs 1. Thumbnails 2. Interior Camera 3. Jbeam issues 3. Model issues 4. Livery issue
nice mod, but interior camera is goofy and can u remove the cabin filter, soundproofing in an open car like in a luxury car
Aware of the new isssues you've presented, I'm currently working on a patch that will at the very least fix the modeling issues along with a refreshed jbeam, it should be rolled out within the next week.
Is there any way we can download/play this with the origional v1.1 formula bee? Everytime i install either one it just replaces the existing even if i change the names? - Nevermind i have just re read the origional post
hello i like your updated version of the formula bee, something i would suggest, can you add the ability to add/remove the sidepods ? edit : + seem like the camber/toe i think something wrong with it, the wheels are negative on one side and positive on the other for all 4 wheels with the ui app, but show neutral/slightly negative. + one other thing i suggest having center lugs wheels like 15x8 dreid cvta would be amazing.
hey, glad you like it! to answer your questions: 1. thats a great idea, ill consider doing it 2. i did not notice that, ill look into it 3. i put the current wheels on the car because they are the thiccest, making the car easier to drive im on vacation right now so ill begin work on an update(+new project????) when i return
thank you for the answer, I hope you have a good break and glad to hear your gonna update this mod & the new project . have a good day.
Has the handling in any way been changed? One of my biggest gripes with the original mod was it's tendency to get into unsaveable oversteer even with the slightest of mid-corner throttle lifts, and while it could somewhat be solved with differential settings it was still not entirely solved.
It makes sense, but I still feel it is a bit excessive, but it could always just be a case of skill issue and I should just drive the car the textbook way.
yea that was a gripe of mine, unfortunately i havent changed the handling, but i may plan to in the future to make the oversteer tendencies less prevolent
