   Yes I am holding clutch and pressing v, yes ive tried without holding clutch, no it still doesnt work.
   
   Car turns off the second i let go of V key.

   Hold V to allow the starter motor to spin up the crank for long enough for the combustion to begin taking over. A little throttle should help. Try starting with the gearbox/transmission in neutral, no need to hold the clutch in then.
