I really like the Ibishu Covet. I also like the V8 of the Gavril D-Series. Since theres free space in the engine bay of the Ibishu Covet I'm making something to fill it. I already put the engine in the car and changed the position of the model and nodes. Things I want to add: remodel the exhaust remodel the radiator hoses add a rear driveshaft, a differential and halfshafts (with model), thanks to @JoLi for letting me use his remodel the front suspension so theres no clipping with the engine, thanks to @JoLi for letting me use his Make a new intake so the stock hood fits Add the 200bx rear suspension to fix the weird behavior when driving with full throttle (suspension is on the car, I’m having issues with the coilovers, I’ll try again later) I'll make everything green when it's ready, red when I tried but it didn’t work, trying again later and orange if I'm working on it.
Nah WDYM, the radiator hoses are perfectly fine. --- Post updated --- Also maybe use this instead of yellow to be a bit more clear
The front suspension is ready Special Thanks to @JoLi for letting me use his front suspension Other things: I changed the model so the engine fits better I remodeled the oilpan added a v8 body so the transmission fits
Rear Suspension Here you can choose between two different rear suspensions that get added to the car I‘m going to add a new rear suspension, what suspension should I add: Independent rear suspension (from ibishu 200bx) Live axle rear suspension (from ibishu miramar) Why am I doing this? Since I’m adding rwd and the v8 does have a lot of power, the rear suspension is not behaving very good. If you use a locked/ welded rear differential and grippy tires the suspension is shaking when launching and the car is pulling to the right side when driving until 5th gear. I’ve already tried to add booth suspensions to the car but had issues with the coilovers not working (FLEXBODY ERROR on coupe_coilover_R: VY node not found) I’ve found out now how I can fix this. One more thing: The stock hood fits on the car without the engine clipping (only the alternator clips, I’m going to move the engine down by 1-5 cm so it’s fixed) Choose the rear suspension by replying I’ll add the second one later (maybe)
I’d say the 200BX since that’s more modern, but I have no clue what’s the difference between different suspension behaviors, so yeah.
The independent suspension is better for comfort and handling and the live axle rear suspension is better off-road, more reliable and can handle more power. Since it’s easy to add these suspensions to the car and I’ll bet making race and off-road configs I’ll add booth.
I think beamng hates me why does this keep happening? Edit: found out that using a stronger swaybar helps, ill now work on the radiator hoses
I`ve added the early intake to the mod and finally adjusted the radiator hoses. Next l`m goingto start with the 4WD and the front axle and differential model.
the mod is almost ready, i will release it next week. the front differential and halfshafts are ready, the only missing thing is the driveshaft. --- Post updated --- the driveshaft is ready too, i have to remove some unused files and things that overwrite game files and fix some clipping issues.
the driveshaft is ready too, i have to remove some unused files and things that overwrite game files and I´m impressed too that the engine fits in the car without modifying it
I´m sorry for not posting but I haven´t had time and motivation to work on this mod. But now I want to start improving the quality bevore releasing and adding more features. As shown on this picture, the driveshaft connects really weird to the diff and the transfercase. I want to fix that as the first quality improvement. I´ve already seperated the driveshaft in 3 pieces so I can make it look better. I´ll try to make it to 3 props but idk if it´ll work and if it will affect performance. This will make it look much better. After that I´ll fix the front differential and the rear driveshafts not moving correctly with the suspension.
