I thought I would be able to rework all light bars today, but I only started with the Aerodynic so far lol. I want it to have similar customization to real life and I had no idea how customizable it is. Not much of this currently even works, but there will be even more options after I get these working.

Oh that's awesome I think the rotators were too fast (only sometimes?) on everything, and I remember the light effect still moving when you had frozen physics
Yeah the electrics setup for the light bars (and all other police light parts) is very outdated, I'm replacing it with more modern stuff that doesn't have these issues.
I did some progress on AeroDynic. Beacons are done and the modes I made earlier function as intended. Still to do: the alternative center section, flashing lights as replacements for the beacons (required for some of the glass patterns present currently) and a fully customizable glass variant to use on custom configs that have light bars but are not police cars.
Reworked the MARS Skybolt light bar now, made it more accurate to real life and added realistic options such as can lights and traffic breaker light
This is only a random musing not even a suggestion. I really like the beater variants in this mod. I wonder how hard would it be to make the beaters even worst than they are. For example, the brakes are not worn out evenly. Every time you apply the brake pedal the car pulls in one direction. Or a loose fan belt. It makes a squeaking sound. Or the engine burns oil. The exhaust smoke is blue all the time. or diesel is belching black soot every time you rev the engine harder. So how hard would it be to implement any of the above?
Unevenly worn brakes would be cool but they would require asymmetrical wheels. That would be cool but a lot of work. I could try though. Loose belt fan is possible but the problem would be finding a good sound for it, does anyone have any recommendation of a base game sound that would fit? Engine burning oil is already planned, lots of black smoke too. Also we want to add a new beater variant based on one that Vanilla found irl in Germany:
