heres an "interesting" specimen: Will this Olds 98 350 DIESEL come back and drive out of the ashes? - YouTube
i know this isnt what you mean by asymetrical wheels but there was a mod a while ago (WBIMP) which had one spare wheel and one normal wheel on the rear axle which was pretty cool
It would be possible if I add the asymmetrical wheels to the mod, but then I would need some technical data about the Oldsmobile Compact Spare, how it gripped compared to a normal tire and stuff. Idk if I can find that easily.
Trailer wheel would also be a good idea. So many good ideas for the mod on this thread recently, this is rare and very cool.
Thank you @Agent_Y for the response. I actually never considered that BeamNG considers the tires on an axis to be the same thing. I thought making the brake pads fade on just one wheel was easy. Thank you for clarifying. I once owned a car(Trabant 601) whose diagnostic showed that the front brakes were 100% the rear brakes 50% and the hand brake/E-brake to be 300%, I guess that could be easy to do. Another thing I would like to ask is can a bad Stepper motor can be implemented. As in the car turns off when idling. You have to keep your foot on the gas at all times. Same thing if your alternator is bad. Take a foot off the gas and the battery doesn't have the power to keep the motor running. It could be a fun scenario or even a series of scenarios. "The fullsize has X wrong with it, you need to drive it to the repair shop." LadaPack back in the day had a no brakes scenario and inverted controls steering wheel. So "no starter motor. If your engine turns off you will fail the scenario" "no radiator fan, be careful with your car don't let it overheat." "one of the gears doesn't work." Yes, I buy my cars dirt cheap. If everything works on them it is a pleasant surprise. again those are random musings. I hope to inspire an idea. The ones I posted are just examples.
The Trabant brake thing would indeed be easy to do. How exactly do you get 300% handbrake force though?? What kind of failure is that? A broken alternator option would be cool, I'll see what I can do, but no promises, the engine already has lots of customizable parts and it can be hard to make everything work together without issues. I believe the alternator is already a separate mesh too which would make this easier. I have done a selectable starter motor for the Maluch mod before (stock, worn out, broken, or rope start lol), I could do something similar here. The engine fan is already removable actually and it does affect the engine cooling efficiency. We have a worn transmission already, not sure how we would make one with a broken gear, maybe replacing the gear with neutral + lots of grinding noise could work? I really need to focus on the beater parts and stuff after I finish the police parts, there's so much potential here.
hey, ik you dont know me but uh ik your gonna deny this one, just think about it, would you create this car to beamng? this is 1976 oldsmobile 98 from front and from the back.
I know a while ago you said you wouldn't do PBR because it would be too much work for everything in the mod to be converted. However, chrome, plastic/rubber, and rusty textures look fine without it. Just doing the paint on most of the skins would be good enough for me.
sadly, you will have to be forced to pay like 5 dollars for it but its sad that no one is gonna do it, they look beautiful.
the poor idle should be doable by making it idle low and then turning up idlerpmroughness. broken gears is doable by setting a ratio to 0.00 (effectively neutral) and radiator fan could be doable with some jbeaming as well
