its not broken, the site is ddosed, idk but beamng should put cloudflare protection for their site with captcha, but thats looks so goofy ah
Yeah, something weird is definitely happening with the site... I remember one time early/midway after I first joined, once I got super angry and out of pure rage threatened a DDoS attack on the webpage. I got a warning soon after and learnt not to snap as hard as I did then, but now seeing what an actual DDoS is like, well... I kinda feel bad about the experience for everyone else if I actually did do one. Otherwise, BeamNG devs please I swear it wasn't me this time I never touched that LOIC website since then please
According to my sources, its apparently a somewhat of a DDOS attack on the site by whom I have no idea
Are you certain that the site is being DDoSed good sir? It has been perfectly functional for both myself and many other users this past week. There is not a shred of evidence to suggest a DDoS attack other than one singular forum thread fabricated to incite panic among the community. Nothing has happened with the BeamNG forums.
Good sir, You will find that, due to your residence in "Male From: North America" your proximity to the higher volume servers on which this website is hosted results in a quicker and more reliable connection than some less fortunate (or perhaps more fortunate?) users of this forum in less developed nations. I for example, in his majesty's penal colony of Australia, found that upon approximately 50% of my attempts at contacting this website, I was bestowed an error claiming either of a "bad gateway" or of a "service temporarily unavailable". Furthermore, while I did not ascertain the validity of this claim myself amidst the duration of the attacks, some claimed that there was an aberrant quantity of guest users on the site, to the order of 4,000. Finally, the fact that these connection issues have resolved upon the implementation of the Distributed Denial of Service protection and firewall, I hereby conclude that the recent presence of a Distributed Denial of Service attack is substantiated. Cordial Regards, User 188873.
I absolutely love the use of „Not a shred of evidence” - Thousands of guests - 502 and 503 errors - There’s an anti-DDoS thing now - tdev literally responded to people asking about it and said there are technical difficulties
Given that something absolutely did happen, I can only assume by your continued denial of it is a thinly veiled admission of guilt as why would you deny the existence of something that very clearly happened to the point where the devs mentioned it? It is a logical assumption, after all
