What if the financial crash of 1987 was much more worse? 1987 was the beginning of the end for the United States. The global financial markets were destroyed on a level not seen since the great depression. Most countries failed completely, others made harder decisions. The arab states merged under the Iranian flag. They soon turned off the taps for the oil. This would have lead to a world war, if that was even possible. However countries had much bigger problems. The United states agreed to a bailout from the United Kingdom. The UK offered to buy up most of the national debt and the US was forced to capitulate. The terms were penned in 1991. 2 years later, the US defaulted and became a colony of the United Kingdom once again. Canada also begrudgingly gave up their sovereignty and the two countries were merged into the United Colonies. England also took over several western European countries and they became commonwealths of the Crown.

Russia and China entered into a tense partnership and became the defacto world superpower. Russia had seized a large portion of the Arctic and struck an oil field that made the fields in Saudi Arabia look like a kiddie pool. That enabled their economy to triple in 10 years. The only thing that the UK had in their favor was food. The worlds bread basket was their back yard. They could trade with the soviets for all the Oil that the kingdom would ever need.

The New Glasgow police are preparing to secure a pro American rally down at the docks. The rallies were almost never peaceful. The bobbies knew this and were looking forward to busting some uppity Yankee skulls.
